The AMP suit is very similar to the Exosuit in aliens

In aliens (the whole franchise in fact) it's always a mention of "The Company" which is also mentioned in Avatar as Jake references the RDA etc. as "The Company"

Cryo sleep is featured in both the aliens franchise and in Avatar

that's all i can think of for now, probably more i haven't touched on but does anybody see what I'm getting at lol?

Steryotipical marines and General?

Well they are trained to act a certain way. So they basically are required to be stereotypical.

No Hollywood makes the stereotype. My dad was in nam and he hates it whenever hollywood flubs a good sounding war movie with evil soldiers and high and mighty generals who only want power.

What I'm saying is that they are trained to be stereotypical soldiers in battle as in they don't want you going all Rambo or Arnold Schwarzenegger on the enemies asses, you get trained to act a certain way for certain situations.

o.o Both in AC

That's a good point...

HMMMMMMMMM

i need some pondering

yeah i hate that glorified image that Hollywood puts into war movies with the generals and soldiers etc.

so undignified

It's supposed to add to the feeling of the story. When you see Rambo kick ass you want to join him because... Well he kicks ass. If he was some medicore soldier who fired his gun once or twice, people might not get that type of connection. And if there is a badass enemy, who is all arrogant, you want the good guy to kill him. I think the series (yeah a series) that portrays soldiers the best is Band of Brothers. Watch it and see the difference.
