Ok, so did anyone notice that Jake's last video log was number 98? I think it's cool that he never made it to 100.

Brainiac

Looks like a 98 to me.

But I do agree there's most likely some symbolic reference behind it, there's many small details embedded within.

I thought about it for awhile but I still couldn't figure it out. Maybe a Alien reference.

What does P.I. mean in this instance? I'm pretty sure Grace wasn't a private investigator.

Went through every abbreviation I could think of, the best option is Principal Investigator. Consider that Jake is under the Research division, so they may have different acronyms for the researchers compared to the soldiers. Military or military like programs will use the acronym CO for Command (Division he/she works for) or Commanding Officer.

So that means that he started on May's 18th.
He had exactly three months. So May - June - July - August 18th.
So six days it took to defeat the humans and send them back. Is there any possibility six days has something to do with it?

I don't really see the point in trying to make some sort of symbolism out of the dates. I think that James Cameron just wanted the dates to be realistic; like a realistic period of time between events, and it took Jake a couple of months to actually learn how to be one of The People.
