Dr. Augustine could have been an influence on Eywa's decision to focus on the fight at the end of the film.

It is interesting how in the film, for Dr Augustine, we are shown the same upload wormhole effect as transitioning into an avatar body.  It is a subtle hint, unlike the ring shaped rock formations which seem to have been constructed, that there could be something technological involved in Eywa.

Wow, that's a really interesting point that I hadn't connected, the wormhole effect. That really does lead the imagination to believe there might be something more than trees on Pandora.

Good observation!

J.C. could just be a tease also.  But I suspect he is going to have a big reveal.

Call me a free spirit, but bras are quite constricting. Running around topless with a bunch of necklaces and a thong cloth would be fun as sin.

Noted.

(Yes, I popped into this thread for the soul purpose of just saying that. :-P)

I would have to say this, though: what if the wormhole created is as such, in both situations, because the mind is traveling from one living entity to another?  In addition, they even say in the film that the plants seem to communicate through electrochemicals, which are also present naturally in the brain.

My guess as to why the wormholes are the same is not because of technology, but because of the electrochemical reactions.

It is possible.  There is no way to know from real experience, what happens to the visual cortex, as the mind and all it contains is some how sent elsewhere, in an intact fashion.
