Avatar is a movie about a guy with blue balls running through the forest chasing tail.

Oh I remember. South Park did a parody of dances with wolves using smurfs, and then it showed cartman coming out of avatar and he was pissed that JC stole his idea :D. The episode is called "Dances with Smurfs".

Great episode  :P

I wondered where the uppity talking heads in the popular press came up with that.

I dunno, cause last time I checked, they look nothing like Smurfs.

Yes, there does seem to be a "size discrepancy".  And they don't wear those little hats.

Fingers crossed there wont be any skxawng when I go tonight, I'l be sitting right at the back, as advised.

I have found that the latest showing on a weekday is the quietest.

And yes, I have had much experimentation to find that out  ;D.  The IMAX theater is eating my bank account.

I know, it's extremely annoying. I was talking to some skxawng in class, and he thinks that there wasn't enough action (Gigantic battle at the end + Kelutrel falling + awesome flight scene + fight with viperwolves = not enough action???) and that the (and I quote) "magic tree thing transferring minds was pushing it"

I tried to muffle it, but I let out a not-so-quiet "HA!" at the sample-collecting comment.  It had been so serious and almost dire before the comment that I was taken by surprise by it and felt a lot of awkward, giddy joy.  When hometree was attacked I think I may have said "oh my God" or something similar.  I tried very hard to not be a distraction to anyone, but I fidgeted a lot during the hometree destruction because I had the barely suppressible urge to do something about it.

In hindsight, that last one is a little cool.

I went and saw it again the other day, and this woman sitting next to me made the most irritating commentary the entire movie. I kept shushing her, but after a few minutes it'd start back up again.

Most annoying part? When Neytiri's dad have a block of wood through his chest she went "oh ha, didn't see that one coming"

I was so close to smacking her and saying "DIDN'T SEE THAT ONE COMING EITHER, DIDJA b****."

The best skxawngs i saw at avatar:

I was at an Imax showing when this happened. 4 people in the row in front of me were saving 2 seats for members of their party who stepped out to buy some concessions. This one lady and her husband approach and go to take the two open seats, but are told they are taken. The husband tells his wife to move somewhere else. She says no and proceeds to sit down saying that the two people should have been there. Husband shrugs and goes to find another seat. Wife is arguing with all the people around her. Management is called. She gets hauled out of the theater. She calls out to her husband, "Greg, let's go!" He says "Forget it! I paid $14 to see this movie. I'm not leaving!" I guess wife spent the whole movie sitting outside waiting for her husband.

I laughed the whole time.
See that shadow? It's the last one you're gonna see.

I bet that he told her how awesome it was all the way home, just to spite her.
