What about a direhorse? ::)
Ikran is not horse. Once tsaheylu is made, ikran will fly with only one hunter in the whole lifetime.

Pa'li don't work like ikran, any Na'vi can bond with one without it becoming exclusive.
And the Na'vi aren't exclusive about how many animals they bond with. But it does make me wonder if other animals, like perhaps toruk, are exclusive like the ikran.

Also, I just read that first part in Neytiri's voice, hrh.

Yes, I always assumed that a toruk would only bond with one na'vi in its whole life, like the ikran. But as I don't have anything to base that off of I could easily be wrong.

It also seems to me that the same rule would apply to the palulukan, but I don't know why I think that. :P

Maybe because they're all dangerous and you don't just jump on their back any time you like :P No really, I'm thinking the same thing, just wish we had some proof in either direction.

There have been so few Toruk Makto that I doubt that's a problem, or even know :P

I was joking about the palulukan... but okay, now that you got in on that, I admit, it would be interesting to see if she could ride that one again. Maybe that was just a one time thing because of the war, but maybe they developed a stronger bond in that short while. Too bad it died.

I bet she will find a new ikran, they said the ikran only bonds with one na'vi, but there was no mention of that rule going both ways. And she can always ride a pa'li, they seem more like the every-day mode of transport (apart from running and jumping, hehe)
true there is no mention of that but I think it would be more spirtural if ikran only bond with one hunter during the lifetime
