Time to Start Anew
« on: February 27, 2016, 12:53:18 pm »
Kaltxì ma eylan!

It has been a very long time. But life has slowed down again which has given me time to pursue old hobbies and new projects, and I find myself returning to this one once again.

For those who still hang around the forums, I am an old soul- very few remain who probably remember me. But I created this project with the intention of learning Na'vi myself- and teaching someone else as I learned. So I'm here to revitalize it yet again. For anyone who is interested, shoot me a PM and we can discuss the project, what I'd like to accomplish, and how to get there.

EDIT: We've started a Discord server to use as the primary communication hub. Here is the invite link:

Kaltxì ma tsmuk ;)

I think I remember you vaguely ;) Welcome back.

So this was/is the project that aims at one-on-one teaching, right? I can’t remember what you imagined this to be. One-on-one teaching but with a unified schedule/curriculum for all karyu-numeyu pairs?

The concept is intriguing of course.

Hey Plumps! Definitely remember you :)

Allow me to quote myself in the startup thread (which is long since gone):

"The goal of the Neytiri Project is to create a generational teaching cycle, matching a student to a teacher with the goal of that student eventually taking on his or her own student. Both the student and the teacher benefit from the learning process, and everyone grows."

I've already picked up a student, though I think it won't be long before they are ready to teach another themselves based on their proficiency. I'm hoping to use this year to learn, as well as prepare a team for the influx of fans with the sequel release.

Ma Mako, I do vaguely remember you. And I believe you have picked up Valkyrie as a numeyu?

As before, I am ready to teach. Thanks to this project, I ended up with Prrton as a teacher, and he helped me work through some stuff I simply couldn't make work 9and still occasionally can't ;)  ). As a result, I can take on beginner or intermediate learners.

Of course! I was Reyona, I worked with you on the Bible Na'vi project for a little while.

For the FIRST time ever, we have more teachers than students, what with Tìlu helping me teach Valkyrie while I teach him, but we'd love to have you! We're currently using a Discord server as a hub for lessons and chat, I'll PM you the invite link if you would like to join!

I see the traffic about the Discord server. I've just been really busy, especiaslly in the last week.

I would love to be a student,
I have been on this site a while and been trying to learn but I decided (recently) that if I get involved I will improve.
Is there someone who would be willing to teach me?
