IDK how available I can be before the end of the semester (btw, mine ends on the 10th of next month, if my memory serves correctly).  These days it is "cram/crunch" time, so honestly I shouldn't actually even be here. XD

However, once I'm done, I could provide some interesting conversation about an essay I have been working on dealing with teaching foreign language to elementary students in the U.S. (since most everywhere else already does that).  However, if you wish to stick with Na'vi, I shouldn't really volunteer myself, as so far I've been an entertainer in the spam section...
and even more so for volunteering. i really just want more material on the stream. how about we get a group of 3 or 4 goin? (including me) and we can talk about whatever? let me know and we'll schedule. i do skype but prefer TS3.

I don't care about Skype vs. TS3.  So long as I have more than, say, two or three days warning, and you stick to the weekend or after about 4:30pm weekdays, my schedule is usually flexible.

Perfect. :) I'll find an open weekend sometime. invite your friends and tell them about the station.

mabey you could set up some sort of schedule, mondays are mostly music, tuesdays and wedsndays mostly words and lessons fridays mostly music,

and such, is that possible?

Tirea Aean 20:57
we can probably do that
it operates off a script 20:58

that way, people tune in on days for what they want

Thats definitely doable.  Just work out a schedule for what you want and I'll program it in.

Ideas discussed in TS on 11-12-10: Live RP's (dramas), Na'vi talk shows, live conversations, recording live Prezi lessons, and weekly content schedules. Ngaytxoa if this isn't everything.

Look at the "PllPXE‽" in my sig.  We also discussed speaking my sentences (I was thinking this one could be a side feature if necessary...).

Just thought I would add this here:
To play Tirea Radio from a Linux command line (no bloat of a desktop player) use mpg123.
To install it on Debian/Ubuntu:
Code: [Select]
sudo apt-get install mpg123Arch Linux:
Code: [Select]
pacman -S mpg123Other distros look for mpg123 in the repositories.

Then paste this into a terminal:
Code: [Select]
mpg123 [email protected] http://tirearadio.com:8000/ting_mikyun_128.m3u
It will start playing. Ctrl-C to stop.

I signed up for an own show and to be more specific: I would like it to let it be interactive, just need to figure out how.
Anyone ideas? The idea is that listeners can 'call' (teamspeak/skype or so).

I think that I have tackled the thing:

I set up an own TS server in which you only can connect when you have my IP (and maybe a password) and is only online when I'm online. So, 'callers' can come in the visitors area and when we invite them in the radio channel they will be live on TR (offcourse the TR TS client has to be in that channel as well).

Does this sound practical?
