Orange jackets are no big deal, maybe we can get it swapped out with a blue zebra-stripe. I doubt population will be an issue, because the tribe as it projects to be ~20-30, could probably get off with about 2 animals day, just depends.

Na'vin Nos'feratxu

Its impossible to determine how much our tribe will consume in one day.
However, if we presume there is ample amount of wild game then I doubt it will be an issue.
As everything in an animal can/will be used....nothing goes to waste.

As for the orange jackets....I wouldnt worry about that.
If we are on a private reserve then we wouldnt have to worry about other hunters shooting at us.
In most cases, we will know if someone else is scouting our hunting grounds.

Like most animals of the wild, when we live out in the forest, your senses increase dramatically....I cant emphasis this enough.
Your sense of smell...hearing...and your sense to detect surrounding life, is very real.
You become in tune with your surroundings, you become very aware.

Why do you think its so hard for city slickers to hunt?
In most cases the animal is aware of you, but they ignore you, or they are curious...

The ability to blend is important, and its my personal wish to remain unseen to human eyes.
If we are hunting, I dont want other people to know where we are. As this could destroy any hunting grounds that we have.
Im going on a tangent...Sorry.  hrh

Weeeellll...it keeps getting better! For unlike any other country I have researched, there are organisations who will assist our immigration, and maybe even eventual citizenship! I have their "contact us" page up in front of me - should we wait for a few months, or should we dive in and just get an opinion?

Another good point - trying to also find land in hawaii. Is not that hard! Many places available - the trick is to find one big enough (apparently you need at least 70 acres for hunting), with natural vegetation that we could eat. STill, we could always grow oranges!

I am amazed at your research skills ma tsmukan!

I am already a US citizen, so im grandfathered in...However citizenship is not all that difficult to obtain.
As for certain Organizations that will assist us...can you elaborate on who they are?

As for diving in, we should first discuss the Pro's and Con's of this location.
We should discuss all attributes of this location....land, specific location, laws, and priming the tribe for this adventure.
We should rally up the members we have and talk about it.

+1 for research grinding!
Lets build up a plan, then present it to the tribe.

We need to know what this island does, what its seasons are, what we can expect when we get there. etc etc
There is a lot we need to learn before we make any decisions...but I must say this looks VERY promising!

But, I've never been one to hunt, so I wouldn't understand the logics of everything. I would like to see an opinion whenever possible.

I would enjoy teaching you, hunting is what defines you, your skills and abilities.
I can say that its VERY similar to what you see in the movie.
You will stay with the haryu, until you can prove your able to make your own kills. "Until you are ready"
Hunting is not easy, not by a long shot. It takes great patience, and skill to capture/kill your prey.

Thankyou Na'vin, I haven't had a karma kookie for months!

The people I was hoping to contact have awebsite here: http://www.immigration-hawaii.com/. Apparently they are a firm that specialises in helping people and organisations start up in hawaii.

Depending on waht the land agents can rustle up for me, we can soon get started on researching individual locations, and then onto opinions of the tribe at large. My massive publicity plan is soon to come into effect (look out for 11,000 members soon!), so we should have a healthy base of members form which to gain a consensus.

I've tried to build a bow. The arrow went 15 feet at about 30 mph. Not very good, but was pretty 'decent' for a first try. Besides that, I think I'll have to find an archery class between this and now.

Na'vin Nos'feratxu

Ma Tonbogiri, where are 11k members going to come from? Thats a LOT of people!
What role are they going to play with our tribe?.........!!!!!!!!!!

I just had a thought...What are we going to call ourselves? (As a tribe)

Ma Eana Nantang, the fact your trying to make a bow, and use it, shows character and the wish to learn.
It will be a learning experience for all of us, as Hawaii has different trees, and woods for construction.

I'm going to search up a video I found in class one day that was Very useful.

I'm just going to go ahead and get the proof before I post what it was.

Edit-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hey, I found it, but it costs about $25.

It was a video projected at 3rd-5th graders, but it was very interesting for even us in highschool.

It was the Discovery Education video "People of the Plains". (I'm from there) It was on indians, and there was a 15 minute segment that showed how the men made bows, weapons, used wolf pelts for camo, and how the women made the teepees, cooked, and all this stuff that could be decently useful if we were on the plains and if I could find that video for free.

"The Script"

Do "Find" for [While my mother is cooking, my father will usually make tools and weapons.], and there's an explanation of what I was trying to find.

Okay, my only post for today until I retire for sleep. Darned time differences - it seems that as soon as I go to bed, everyone comes on!
I contacted the Hawaiian immigration office, and gave them a (very vague) summary of what we are attempting. The mail I sent is shown below - I plan on keeping everyone in the loop!

Hi there,

Myself and a group of like minded individuals from across the globe (some of whom are american citizens) are looking to start an eco-friendly wilderness survival organisation. Several of these exist throughout the world, but none as yet in the islands of Hawaii. We are still in the process of deciding upon final locations and raising of capital. As such, it may still be 18-24 months until we are actually ready to "move in".
We were, of course, looking for assistance in the area of immigration - we plan to operate for several years, and we would like to know if there was any kind of immiratory process that could apply to our situation.

In short, we wish to know:
Whether the long term stays of multinational people would be possible;
How much would set programs cost per person;
How much it would cost to hire this agency in the future.

I hope that you can help us now, and in the future should all go as planned.

I am awaiting a response. Also, several things: I had to say "wilderness survival" because we would need to have some sort of business idea in order to get help from these people. Second, I set the time frame as 18-24 months - I feel that we may take up to 4 years, but again I needed to make it shorter so that the people can give us valid advice.

Very well done ma tsmukan. The time frame is good.
I hope to hear some good news!

Thanks for posting your process and status!
I await you results :D

I missed too much while I was gone. But unless we already came to a decision on Hawaii that I haven't seen, it seems like we have two decent locations to research right now (Argentina and Hawaii).

Hawaii would be the best choice IMO.

Warm year round, somewhat isolated from a majority of populace (cities, metros, etc) and not to mention due to volcanic soil it renders wonderful fruits.

Sorry ive been gone for a month or two, city life, is no life at all.
