Brilliant! We should have been looking at valleys earlier. But I'm sure we'll find something wrong with them :(

Lol. That's kind of how I feel. I actually have the "Warning - while you were reading a new reply has been posted. You may wish to review your post. " warning above this post right now!

But yes, I will help you with research right now. Where too?

i think i shot down tasmania in the first few seconds of research. lowest temps in winter are 39F. that's bearable but it depends on how long the winter is. i'll come back with more info.

So here's what I've found:

West Virginia:
http://www.wvmountainproperties.com/prices.php
Biggest issues here would be weather and size I believe

I'll edit this post as I find more instead of making new posts.

Colorado:

http://www.landprop.com/properties/enchanted/wildlife_filled/index.html
This seems okay but I'm willing to bet the winters would be way too cold and long.

sounds like a friendlier version of brazil. :D

some tasmanian copypasta:

Summer lasts from December to February when the average maximum sea temperature is 21 °C (70 °F) and inland areas around Launceston reach 24 °C (75 °F).

Autumn lasts between March and May and experiences changeable weather, where summer weather patterns gradually take on the shape of winter patterns.

The winter months are between June and July and are generally the wettest and coolest months in the state, with most high lying areas receiving considerable snowfall. Winter maximums are 12 °C (54 °F) on average along coastal areas and 3 °C (37 °F) on the central plateau

should i continue research on plants and animals or has this destroyed tasmania for us. and besides the seasons Australia's government is pretty strong. i don't think they'd be down with our idea.

Cambodia-
>Climate: Tropical, Rainy [21-35 C] [69-95 F]
>>Climate Downsides: Monsoons
>Government: Constitutional Monarchy, Ruled by King and Prime Minister
>Part of United Nations [good]
>Flora: Tropical Stuff
>Dangerous Fauna: Tigers, Elephants
>Has Highways through major forests

Good, but some critical factors against that.
