Cambodia-
>Climate: Tropical, Rainy [21-35 C] [69-95 F]
>>Climate Downsides: Monsoons
>Government: Constitutional Monarchy, Ruled by King and Prime Minister
>Part of United Nations [good]
>Flora: Tropical Stuff
>Dangerous Fauna: Tigers, Elephants
>Has Highways through major forests

Good, but some critical factors against that.

i dont want to be part of a nation that gives out the death penalty for religious preferences even if they aren't mine or if i agree with them.

Keep Tasmania up. I think we can fend off devils.

Letxuma Swizaw

txon lefpom, ma Itan.

good idea on not giving up. with an extra 2 minutes of research i found the weather around the city of hobart to be brisk but bearable. winter lows barely ever go under 40F. i could go shirtless in that weather compared to Ohio's weird winters.

I haven't been following the brainstorms much (did read this thread though)

How about New Zealand? What's the story with that?

...And why was Australia eliminated. (I can probably see why, but I want some clarification).

im not sure about australia. but i personally wouldn't want to interfere with the aborigines.

You know, I have cousins in Australia who are REALLY in touch with nature (run around bare foot and all). I should talk to them. (yeah, I thought I was going to bed too)

it just isn't possible for you and me is it? :D

Launceston, tasmania doesnt get under 36F. that's a bit too nippy for me.

Lol. This is the 2nd night in a row isn't it. I think you're gonna win again though ;D

And yeah, in the end, I do think that may be too cold :(

I think that Australia does have some good locations, but at the same time, despite me living there, I don't know the laws or customs for doing something like this.

...And believe me, you wont be interfering with the Aboriginals. The "traditional" ones tend to live in the desert/dry areas and the "modernized" ones just camp out the front of Parliament house and demand more land and money.

(My apologies to the small percentage who went out and got jobs and make their own, honest living, of which case wont bother us anyway)

i like that we manage to get away with off-topic discussion with a small on-topic scrawl at the end of our post. and hopefully i'll be off in a while.

i think tasmania all depends on our clothing situation. i'd really prefer a place i can spend most of my time shirtless, don't know why. :-\ i guess it just would feel more authentic.

Just updated the original post a bit. A reminder to everybody: I'm going to do my best to keep the OP as up to date as possible, so please check it out every so often!

And yeah, so long as we're keeping the conversation moving I don't think it's such a big deal that we add something off topic to the post!

183 acres, 90% of which is tropical rainforest, 10% pasture, for a modest $277,500 USD.  That's about 165 acres of dense forest, 18 acres of clearing... not a bad price either.  Very secluded with the only way in to it being by horse or on foot.

http://realestate-costarica.info/golfito_area/index.htm

Nearly 300 acres of private rainforest with some clearings for dwellings, has a waterfall on the property and private trails through the forest.  15 minute trip to the bay with shops for provisions and such.  Reduced to $120,000 USD!!!  Look at the second listing on the page titled "A PEACEFUL RAINFOREST REFUGE"

LOL... I would LOVE to have this property, if not for the tribe, then for me.  I'm actually in a bid for a house locally running $175,000, so these two wouldn't be far off, especially the $120,000 property.  I was drooling looking at that one.
