Discussing this:

I can't decide anyway. I don't know enough about each to choose.

I don't see how this is useful. We don't know any of the positives or negatives of them, unless it's obvious.

Just what people think. We still need to work on the actual information part.

i just wanna know the reason for people voting for US/Canada/Alaska? (the truth mind, that means underlying things as well)

it may have huge areas of land that are free to do what we like on and there may be zones that are almsot suitable for our needs but its in one of teh most heavily populated countries in teh world, which is always expanding, if we go anywhere there we will have huge ammounts of publicity (not all of it good for us or frommer or JC) then people will start to visit us and we will just be an attraction in a totally commercialised country

thats y i think we shouldnt go there

I still think we're going about this wrong. We're still looking at what we want and not at what we can reasonably get. We need to start looking at governments and laws first! Some places just may nit let us do this properly while others will! It's not a question of do we want a rain forest or whatever yet. It's a question of where will we be allowed to do what we want to do.

Btw: I should be back 100% soon!!

In the US it is reasonably easy to obtain land and grants. I don't know anything about other countries land laws or successful attempts to do what we're doing, but I know there have been multiple successful attempts to do what we are doing in the US. If you could give me specific arguments against the US it might help me understand what your point is because I'm 100% sure i don't know it all. :D

i 100% sure i dont know it all either and my main argument is that i think its more to do with the fact that as most of you are in teh US you dont wanna leave, and the fact that i dont wanna be splahed all over CNN if we settle in teh US. Thats just me. there are also  a few more aguements whic i will throw out at later dates

but i have emailed the new Zealand government (yeah, it was fun) and am waiting for a reply about what sort of laws could stop us doing somethign like this ( i was very vauge about the whole thing)

It sounds like you have the standard stigma on America that i am afraid some ignorant people have given us. I will say that many of us deserve it though. The media isn't in everybody's business here, only if you are what they deem "important", a few people in the forest won't grant them many viewers' attention. People will generally stay out of your business if you are far from the major cities. And furthermore i would have to go just as far to get to the part of america i am arguing for, that i might as well just go anywhere so that really has nothing to do with my decision.
