Hey, I just got a great idea from my friend at work. He is from the Philippines and he says it is beautiful there. Lots of rain forest, low crime rate, High monetary exchange rate and the trees range in size from small-ish to arms width.(so he says) What do you guys think of that?

Philippean Peso is about 45 to every one USD. My friend said if you took 100 dollars with you, you would be able to eat for about 3 weeks. He also said to stay more in the provinces area. not the main city. (Manilla)

Heres a good deal of knowledge

Side note, guys, as far as the rockies go, I'm from Alberta and have spent many nights (yes, in the summertime) In those mountains, and it gets STUPID cold after the sun goes down up there.

We're not looking at the money exchange ratio, we're looking for the location. As long as it is perfect for us, I don't care if it has a horrible ratio.

Not necessarily... it depends on where we decide to do it.

Every square mile of land on the planet is owned by one country, the only way to claim land is if you get to a brand new volcanic island first. (as long as it's in international waters)
