Here's mine ;D

Location/s: Not a major factor for me, Oceania is looking good at the moment or South America
Environment: jungle would be cool but forest is more practical
Types of land: I think there should be plenty dense woodland and vegetation
Size of land/s: I think at least 150-200acres+
Climate: Good all year round high/warm temperatures, may end up with high humidity and rain depending on location
Local resources: I think there needs to be plenty of trees that we are not using for construction materials, firewood etc, plus fresh water, plenty of animals we can hunt, plenty of edible vegetation like berries, fruits and nuts. Any other resources are a +, would love geothermal spring nearby :D
How isolated: Seeing as some are planning on bringing a helicopter, we can afford to be fairly far from society, I'd like to be clear from society by at least 7-10 miles or so
Additional ideas: I think we also should make sure there is plenty land nearby (within two miles at least) for eco-village including plenty agricultural land, As many local resources for renewable energy for the village would also be useful

There is no emotion, there is peace.
There is no ignorance, there is knowledge.
There is no passion, there is serenity.
There is no chaos, there is harmony.
There is no death, there is the Force.

I agree with fnua atxkxe,
To keep with the Na'Vi tribe theme, I feel there should be at least some capacity for hunting.
If huge populations of game are impossible, then just enough for something along the lines of an initiation hunt, etc.
Getting hold of some jungle land in South America could prove even harder than an island - reserves, logging companies, etc. We don't want a real life Na'Vi vs RDA fight!

yeah i also completely agree, but from what are we going to live then? i'm not exactly planning to become a vegetarian when i go to the tribe.

Fnua Atxkxe

Personaly I was hoping for ample animals to be their for food however, if it proves impossible we will have to adapt, maybe fishing or something. We'll just have to see what location we end up in and what animals and laws around hunting there are. If I have to go vegetarian I will ;D but I'd rather not. A large animal population will be difficult to sustain for hunting in anything but a natural, or incredibly lage environment.

Location/s: Northern California
Environment: Deciduous
Types of land: Forest, coast, lakes, Rivers
Size of land/s: large and unmonitored
Climate: Temperate with no freezes
Local resources: deer, lichens, huckleberry, blackberry, salmonberry, beaver, otter, Roosevelt elk, black tailed deer
How isolated: enough?
Additional ideas: We could eat the the rhododendrons for "spirit walks" lqtm although you might die, or poop your pants (it's a laxative too!). Problems: bears(tend to avoid groups of people), bob cats(same thing), national forests (we'd have a lot of legal conversations with california who should have no issue with our ideas)

I think that you should add PROBLEMS in that list, because it's very important to know what are positive AND negative sides of one location  ;D

Dreams die first because people give them up so easily...

Fnua Atxkxe

That's quite a good idea actually, for now just put that in the additional comments section, anyone who hadn't thought of this, please modify your posts with some of the potential negatives of locations. Eywa ngahu :D

Um, not that I have any places in mind, but I'd say we settle in a place that at least experiences all four seasons. Honestly, I think experiences nature to it's fullest is a bit more important than finding the most... Pandora-esque place on Earth. Also, if possible, a place that has it all; mountains/hills, rivers, lakes, a bit of plains or at least open grass, and forests.
"Well... What are you waiting for? Do it."

Fnua Atxkxe

Don't really want a place that experineces bad winters. Would be great to find land such as:

Place like that would be massive and would cost millions. Unfortunately is probably unrealistic

If nature and existence ran off money, money trees would be real. So currency is all a lie, if we just left the world open and free like it was supposed to be, the Na'vi tribe would already be happening.

Fnua Atxkxe

^^Yup. However I don't think there are many governments open to this idea.
