Hey everyone, im back and its been a while. Over the course of the past 6 months i have been living out one of my dreams of living out in the wild with one of my friends for one week at a time. We would start off with almost no equipment beside basic things that we need in order to live, like warm cloths, water, and Emergency Panic Systems. To be completely honest i was an extremely unique experience and I suggest everyone who is capable of doing this should. Right now im currently working on making this a small web series, which i just document certain parts of the trip, kinda like a man vs wild or survivor-man. Hopefully this web series can give suggestion on how to help the tribe.  8) ;D ;)

The only thing i'm currently having trouble with right now is what to name the series, so leave a message with a suggestion if you would like to.

Well done! I would suggest "going tribal", but that name has already been used by the bbc...if you are going to film in the wild, you will need a sturdy camera - but don't compromise on quality, as you need one that will record good quality sound. Also, take lots of spare batteries - most cameras won't last a day, let alone a week!

When it comes to the final edit, I have a suggestion - apart from the title, and maybe a "day counter", try to keep any captions on screen to a minimum - in most survival shows, the presenter does some kind of voiceover to provide any information. I assume that your friend would do the cameraman work - you cannot do both easily!

In terms of how this will help the tribe, I would like you to get across the mindset of a survivor (the actual skills you learn may or may not apply, depending on location), as we will all need this. A point - we are not going to be "survivors, we aim to truly live in our location. Many programmes emphasise getting back to civilisation soon - anything you can do about this?

Good luck, and welcome back!

thanks for the advise,
we are probably going to either start filming our next trip out which is going to be in the next couple of weeks, we are currently trying to figure out how long we want to make this trip.

also with your statement "we are not going to be "survivors, we aim to truly live in our location. Many programmes emphasise getting back to civilisation soon - anything you can do about this?"

A lot of the things that my friend and i hopefully are going to show are the basic tings you are going to do in order to sustain you and whomever you are with life. Usually our trips will last bout 2 weeks.

Txontaw

How about something along the lines of "A New Life: Living off the Land", except less cheesy?

But this sounds really cool and I can't wait to see it.
