Okay so... the topic i have dreaded but that must be brought up is, how do we deal with those who break our codes? whatever those may end up to be.

I'm fine for banishment but for less serious things there must be some form of dispute settlement i.e.

"Amhul stole my fruit"
"no i didn't!!" *through a stuffed mouth*
olo'eyktan steps in
"we are brothers.blah blah blah."
amhul isn't having it because 'elan has been a jerk to him this past week

some kind of solution goes here but what is it? A duel? to brutal. A ration penalty? now we have a weak tribe member. perhaps a organized contest for them to remove their male angst through civil competition? but then what if the one who's at wrong wins does that make him any better of a person?

that's pretty good but i doubt it's interchangeable with all wrongs. 'he slept with my mate!' 'so... do in there and slap him. duh.'

Mabey the wrongdoer could have to do some of the worse, more menial tasks (like cleaning the eco-toilet etc.)

It was an idea a while ago (really the best idea) to set up a compost toilet for our "waste", very eco-friendly.

Punishing people will be a very touchy subject for now, I am sure. The issue is that we need to figure out what to do for each of certain transgressions, which ones are forgivable and which ones are not. First off, we will not be instituting the Death Penalty (Cause that's just silly), and only for certain, unforgivable things would Banishment be necessary. I think that Job allocation, as well as temporary exclusion and maybe even isolation/short imprisonment may be necessary as well.

A list of things that I would personally count as unforgivable- Stealing from others repeatedly; repeatedly assaulting other members; seriously injuring another Tribe member; infidelity involving someone else's mate... that sort of thing. Then the more excused ones would be stealing a couple times, a incident or two of physical violence, slacking on chores, etc...

That is my personal view on the subject, but it is totally open to others to contribute ^_^

For the more minor transgretions, maybe it could be something like more chores as has been said or doing something like clewaning the toilet, but personally, I think we should have the offender do something for the offendee of that persons choosing. The person the transgretion was against gets to choose, but it has to be fitting and not unjust or overly taxing. Like was also stated, an ill or tired member of the clan brings down the clan as a whole.

I disagree. If we allow the person who was harmed do the punishing, then we have issues of vengeance and abuse of the system. An impartial judge would also be almost impossible with this sort of situation as well... which is what the Olo'Eyktan and the Shaman are for ^_^ As the symbols of 'authority,' and that is a term that is being used REALLY loosely, they should be the ones making the impartial judgments on these sorts of arguments, and finding the best solution that benefits the whole.  A Council would be an even better choice for the decisions along these lines.

But a council for a minor transgretion?
That just seems a but much if you ask me, but for something bigger deffinatley.

Perhaps shave people's hair, that way, until it grows back they will be seen as a bady by the rest of the group = EPIC GUILT. Although I don't know what to do if someone is bald

Thats actually quite a good idea. However, growing the hair back would take alot longer than they needed for punishment. (Or so i would of thought)

Well, I think for minor things, just having to be around other tribe members who know what you did would be bad enough. For major things, IDK. That's a bit tougher.

NO we will share everything and be friends so we can solve problems could be solved as friends and if the punishment is to big they are banished (such as for murder)

But even friends occasionally argue and fight. Though even that should work itself out.
