I like that logo, and I just think we might as well have the same for both

I feel that because they are seperate things, they need seperate identities, something to distinguish between the two. I think a good idea might be to have variants of that same logo, then they would be distinct from each other but still similar.

I'm probably just rabbiting on here, just an opinion!

You see, it's great :

I really like this idea ;) just a variant, or maybe put 2 differents colors or something like that :)

yeah that's what I was thinking, maybe a green style for the eco-village to show its eco-ness (can't think of the right word) and blue for the tribe for its Na'vi-ness (need a right word again) :)

I really like the idea, seriously it's cool. Can you just change your vote to 'Other' ? (I put the option for letting people change their vote)

just as I was finishing the green one, my photoshop turned itself off, I'll do it when I go on my main pc later , I'm on my laptop at the moment.

Should we go for only colour variation or some small design changes too?

If we just change color, with the actual best logo it's something like that :

yeah, those look great, I had made the dots on the sides yellow on the eco-village one and have a different shade of blue on the dots of the tribe one, just to make it a bit less monotone. It looked good to me with the different coloured dots.

@Esmond: But does the "logo" actually mean anything or is it just pretty?

I mean, yeah, sure, it's a nice design, but if it doesn't mean anything on it's own(yes, I know, I know, it stands for the tribe/eco-village,) then it's not a very good symbol. If you look at the symbols used by most groups, you'll find at least one good reason for them using it.

Easiest example I can think of is when America was founded, the national symbol was going to be a turkey, because their necks are red, white, and blue (sort of,) but then the founders realized that being associated with a turkey probably isn't the best idea. So they picked the bald eagle because it looks majestic and it's the top avian predator. Oh yeah, and it can actually fly (unlike turkeys,) so it's almost automatically associated with freedom.

But I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that there is some meaning behind it. I'll just have to be patient and wait for you to get in here so you can explain it. Otherwise I will. Mwahahahahahhaa! :)

1) It's called a symbol, logo makes us sound like a corporation.

2) I don't really see why we need a symbol, especially for the village. I mean, it's the equivalent of putting barcodes on houses. Why?
