Vehicles in the Na'vi perm tribe

Whatever happened to walking?

I think a helicopter would work better than a bush plane. They can carry more people and supplies and can take off/land in more confined spaces. And they can land directly at a hospital in a medical emergency rather than having to go through an airport.

As for ground vehicles I think a few motorcycles or dirt-bikes would be preferable for through-the-woods travel because they don't need roads, as well as a few quad-bikes (4 wheelers) for carrying small loads in trailers or on the racks. On the emergency medical front, a quad can pull a stretcher trailer out to the tribe and then back to the eco village for medivac. Sort of like the ski-patrols on their snowmobiles at mountain resorts.

I HIGHLY doubt we'll have any motorcycles or Quads. The vehicles we're talking about are for evac only really.

I didn't mean for day-to-day type of things. If you notice I pointed out how each could be used in an emergency situation with an exception of the motor bikes. The main problem with jeeps and other full size vehicles is that they cant go off-road through woods, which is where the tribe would be. So you'd  a need small, fast, vehicle capable of carrying someone with a broken leg or a major cut to where the help is.

Omatikaya'itan is thinking of using is huey
Some have discused using different 4 by 4s.
Discutions of using quad bikes and bikes at that are now just stopped now because I said so.
And finally the use of other helis and bushplanes have been short lived.

Oh snap! My bad, this is just for the permanent tribe, I was talking about the eco-village. But then their isn't a village vehicles thread...
And I thought it sounded like Omatikaya'itan already has a Huey and is thinking of buying a second. I don't know why.

i think quad bike would be a good idea although they have neither the good points of a motorbike or a quad-bike (but thats in modern society)

I think any bike is to small for the perpose and we are not using it for hunting in the tribe

Any decent mid size pick up I thi k be the best. For the Eco village in hauling wares to towns or citys to sell city people pay tons for organicaly grown foods over the junk from supermarkets. Good for bring in supies and God forbid mini ambulance if some really gets messed up for what ever reason. Other than that I think we shoul get one that uses altertive fuels this way the village needs next to no one to maintain it's vehical. That's my non smart ass two cents on the topic.

Ya me and a few of the perm clan members have been discussing it on other threads so i figured i make a thread just for the choppers since we have been planning to bring my Huey with us but now people want a Chinook instead

Hm, thought we voted against Chinooks. Said too expensive. I don't know, just care we get a helicopter.
