Very nice, I wish I could do that, too lazy to learn though, got too much Na'vi to learn :D

Course there are other methods, perhaps not "legal" to achieve mind voyages.

Sooner or later, we all have to wake up.

Also I love how Hypnos and his brother is the picture for the wiki.
But I shall see about doing this, it intrigues me. If Hypnos be it I would probably never wake up. So if you don't hear from me in a few days please call 911.

Lucid living? I just carpe the diem. No belief in god? Agh! My episcopalianism is kicking in.

I'm thinking about adding links to Binaural Beats and Isochronic Tones in the project guide. You guys ever try any of that stuff?

If anybody want to know, the WILD method is the easier but the scariest(personally). I'll describe it below but before I do I apologies in advance for my English as it's not my mother language.

You first have to relex a lot, while trying to stay conscient and aware of things. The best way is to count number for fun or imagine yourself going down an infinite stair...while relaxing(breathing/decontraction).
After that, you will maybe have dream and maybe not. If you get cought in that dream and don't think about getting out of it, you'll just start a normal dream. But if you still have the control of everything, you will pass on and start counting back.If you do so, you will start seeing strange things, try to zoom on them. After that, you will hear a piercing sound and you will see a white light,as for everythings before, don't care about it.Then it will all stop and you will be in your dream. But it won't be stable so you will have to stabilise it with different technique that you can learn.

But I have the utmost belief that our brains can do ANYTHING. It's just a matter of working out how.

Well we do only use about 5% - 10% of our brain so my question is what was the other 90% of the brain used for before we lost the ability to use it.  ???

Sorry to deceive you, but we use 100% of our brain... This popular error certainly comes from the fact we don't use 100% simultaneously, and that the brain is not composed only of neurons. There is no hidden ability in our brain... But we can learn to use those we already have, such as lucid dreaming...

Speaking of that, I almost had one last night : In my dream, I saw a place I had already seen in another dream. So I said me : "I should be dreaming!". But like in all my dreams (that are really odd  :)), there was stupid people dancing who distracted me and I forgot. (Dumb people! >:()

This can actually be induced hypnotically, meaning that whenever you say a specified key-word, you'll be transfered to your own world, and be able to do whatever you want, when you want, with whoever you want.

Other than that, I think I had a lucid dream recently. I was like: "Hmm... This is weird... Is this a dream or is it real? It must be a dream...", lol.

I achieved this dream with Jake's First flight on repeat while falling asleep. Beautiful song... Music helps achieve the feeling, and increases your chance of reaching Lucidity by almost 70%.

I've had 2 lucid dreams before..

One I had an awesome war with everyone I knew.

Another I gave myself super-powers. I don't remember it much, but I know it was the best time ever. The only thing I made sure I would remember was this: I was shocked to find that the dream world was as real as the real world.

Maybe.. I should practice some lucid dreaming..

Sounds like you are on your way.

I sometimes have dreams where I can "call the shots" per se, I seem to be able to create and manipulate events in them, but i cannot create these dreams. They are really rare, but they also RULE. Now there are methods, i may give one a go tonight.

Question: can anyone else here kick themselves out of a dream? I've done it once or twice before, in the dream I just kind of "called it quits" and just woke up.... Still, that's a really rare thing for me to experience.

That has only happened to me once. I was having a horribly bad nightmare (that I think was Saw-related) and I just forced myself to wake up.

Last night, I was so close to controlling my dream. It seems like every time my dream self considers that it might me a dream, I wake up. Any suggestions?

Well, the part that mostly freaked me out was when I remembered I could do this. Ever since I was a kid, I had dreams. Overday, I just played at school (till 6th grade). I didn't remember a thing at all. That night when I went to sleep, I woke up a second later, and a new day begun.  Just did like usually, but then, I drove the car. I thought: cool!. I wonder if it could fly.. Then the car starts flying. Later on, I could levitate. It was so awesome.
I had this almost everynight. From nice and sweet dreams, till scary and bad ones. I lost this when I went to high-school. Damn high-school, first you've ruïned my life, then my dreams, and you build a 'real life' for me with so called 'education'. It's just crap they tell us to believe. But as long as you have enough food and a place to sleep. You don't need anything else.

I wonder if I could pick this up again. Thanks for writing.

While lucid dreaming may be fun, I much prefer the tactic of Astral Projection.

It is a learned art, but one that has been practiced for thousands of years.
When you can seperate your spirit from body and visit the Astral Realm, anything. Visit a jungle home, and shapeshift into a Na'vi form. (Warning, you might want to do alot of backstudy on the Na'vi people, mindset and Physical structure. Also, when shifting  shapes, remember: too much of anything is bad. Just like shifting into an animal, if you spend ALL your time on the Astral Plane in the form of another, the lines will blur. A friend told me,
"Sure, it's good to have the Courage and Strength of a lion, but do you also want the Arrogance?")
You will feel exactly what it is to be Na'vi. Another upside; when travelling astrally, you can bring friends with you and share the experience together. :D

(Contrary to popular belief, Drugs will NOT bring you any closer to the Astral. They will hinder your journeys; projection can only be achieved by tons of focus and practice.)
EDIT::/
Just noticed that WIKI page has a section about Astral Projection. It isn't just the FEELING of being elsewhere. You are truly out of your body. Case in point: The fact that you can invite friends to visit you Astrally, and both of you can share the same experience, even though you might be on different corners of the globe. I mean, this is pretty perfect evidence. You can't share a mere dream with someone else.
