Apparently lucid nightmares can happen too.
Was breathing under water.. then got stuck, couldn't breathe anymore?? Then remembered, it was a dream, but I didn't wake up, or I couldn't do anything.. Well, for as long as I can remember, my dreamwalking from when I was little, always started as a nightmare, but then I took control with my super powers, killed the badass with a chain saw and started flying cross the city. Tee hee :P

That sounds like a horrible nightmare, I would hate that.

Then again, the superpowers thing sounds awesome.

I have the problem that I have the dream, remember the dream, but never check my reality markers, and as such get really annoyed when I wake up :P Then again, there never seems to be a lucid dream which starts with my daily routine =.=

I had one almost exactly like that: I was in a room and water was coming in (for reasons I can't fathom) and of course I couldn't get out so I started freaking out and somehow right before the water went over my head I realized I was dreaming. Despite my best efforts to remove myself from the situation, I still basically managed to drown. Wasn't very fun and I woke up terrified.

I've been going for a little while now. It's becoming a nightly thing, and (just like he put it) I'm startin to face the Jakesully effect.

I think in a few nights I'm going to go in and consult Jakesully (The Pandora I have made for myself is post-Avatar, Jake is Olo'Eyktan and Neytiri his woman. Oh, yeah, and for some reason Tsu'tey is still alive. -shifty eyes-)
I've gotten alot of wise advice from Jake and Neytiri (Neytiri being the Shamoness she is.) And I think I'm going to ask Jake what he did when he was experiencing the same things; how he made things better for himself and what he suggests I do.

(Of course, In doing so, I am literally asking the non-dominant part of my own brain for advice, the part of my brain that I am making more use of but still generates the Dream Characters. Really handy way of asking yourself what you really want/ making decisions and overcoming mental and social obstacles. Trippy.  :))

Wow, sounds like your pretty far along!  :o

Well, I hope I have another Lucid Nightmare too tonight. I mean, when I'm in a nightmare, I realize I'm dreaming way faster than when I'm in a happy dream.

When I was six I used to have a nightmare that some lizard-skinned guy came in my home and tried to kill us. Then I got super powers, kicked his head off and obtained super powers. It was awesome :D (I (almost) never forget things :P)

I'm really looking forward to Lucid Combinated Dreaming, since Lucid Dreaming is about to work, I'd like to be able to have this with some others. Perhaps with someone on the other side of the globe? Would be awesome, but for now, I'm restricted to myself only :( That's the only restriction in Lucid Dreaming, there is no 'random' factor.

Ok this is now becoming spam there is a project thread full of these. move this or delete it pleese
NEYTIRI
I am with you now, Jake. We are mated for
      life.

            JAKE
      We are?

            NEYTIRI
      Yes. It is our way.
         (innocently)
      Oh. I forgot to tell?

This was the original project thread, it has been moved here after we decided this was a more appropriate place for it than the Projects/Resources area, since its more about immersion back into the world of Pandora rather than a learning project or resource. As long as the discussion remains about lucid dreaming, peoples recounts of it, or ideas/related information it is not spam.

Hey Guys (and Girls), Guess what?
I'm there!
Yaaaaaayy..
But it's still lonely, I'm inviting you all to come over here and have a good time.

How did I do this:
- I was able to this as a lil'kid. But ever since high-school it was gone.
- Then I read this thread.
- I started trying to remember my dreams. (1st day: 0; 2nd day: 1; 3rd day: 2; fourth day: 3)
- On day 9 I read about always checking if you're dreaming. So I started. And for some reason worms can't fly.. I noticed :P
- So on day 10 I traveled to Pandora. Right before I was there my alarm went off.. So after 11 days I'm there. Thank you all for helping me.  ;D

I'm not jealous...... :(

Hehe, My only problem is my reality markers. Once i get over those, I'll be joining you there. :D

Hmm, that makes me wonder, with the whole "synchronous dreams" idea, I wonder if a common location and/or goal would influence them?

i tried binaural beats on my ipod last night and i swear it almost worked with the wild method. i read that using that method that before you get the halucinations you might feel like your in a state of numbness and i totally felt numb all over. then i started seeing things then all of a sudden it stopped and i opened my eyes. i tried it again later but i couldnt get it to work. so im gonna try it again tonight but while im sleeping rather than going to sleep while listening to it. thatll be a real trick though ::)

Maybe, but then, you still wouldn't have the exact same dream. Maybe just about the same thing, but then different. Synchornous dreaming is about having exact the same dream. Someone told me that 'cause of brainwaves we would be able to send each other signals, but we still never found out how to do that. I'm really looking forward to pick up each other signals. I had a dream about lucid dreaming.

I thought I started lucid dreaming, but I was really just dreaming still. :/ I've gotta keep on trying though.

Maybe this could help you:
- Put a notepad next to your bed, if you wake up, right after a dream, write it down. It helps you remember.
- It's good to keep on checking wether you're dreaming or not. (Look at a watch, count how many fingers you have, try to levitate) about every one or two hours. This will be a habit, so you'll do it in your dreams too.
- Think twice about everything, always, even when you're awake, it helps you think of everything twice too in your dreams. First, it would be normal for bunnies to fly around with katana's on their back, but then you'll think, wait, it's not. And you know you're dreaming. (At least, when you don't own a katana wearing flying bunny :P)
- Try to sleep enough. About 8 hours a night will do it. (Less than 6 'caused me to forget them)
- Have your mind set on what you want to do, so when you know you're dreaming, you'll be able to do it and wake up with a fantastic feeling :D

I hope it'll help you, since it helped me.

Well, that's what happened. I checked my watch, and it kept saying different numbers. I thought I had started lucid dreaming, but I hadn't, I guess.

My interesting situations with dreams:

1 WILD metod scares s*** out of me. When i will get this state when you are in between dream and reality. I very often hear random loud noises, see strange things. Sometimes they are soo scarry that i have to stand up and occupy my mind with something cos i get them every time i will close my eyes. Reality and dream starts to blend, but this is nightmare...

2. That was awesome. I had awesome dream once. I don't remember what about, but I remember it was awesome, and i woke up but not fully. I was in between again, and i managed to bring up... "brain console" That was strange, but i had brain prompt... So i runned  command: "restart dream" and you know what? It worked i had exact same dream again.

3 When i was experimenting with lucid dreaming i managed to make clock test inside a dream, i was so happy i wanted to tell my brain what to do, but it was not listening to me. So i get angry and i said: "I want to wake up" And i did. Waked up, i ate my breakfest prepared for school... And than waked up again. It was so real.. And after second try i waked up for the third time. This time for real. Damn... That was streange, and that was actually lucid dreaming. I said "I want to wake up." and I get what i asked for... But i believed my brain that I really waked up so i didn't noticed that i was still dreaming... You know how annoying is preparing for school free times in a row?

Every time I try the WILD technique, I get in a really comfy position and am about to drift off when I get really bad itches on my head and arms for no reason and I have to scratch them and I have to start over. Does this happen to anybody else?  ???

As a guy who is inborn with several sleep problems and natural lucid dreams, I haven't had to work very hard to get the Pandoran Dreams to come :)

Had a pretty crazy one just last night, which you can find in the RP section, though if pusuaded otherwise I can post it here.

Agreed. I took part in International Hypnotism Day and I downloaded this bloke's Hypnotism mp3. As I progressively sank into relaxation I got pointless itches and scratches. I tried to ignore them but I can't. :s

As for the WILD method, I haven't tried that yet, I've currently been working on dream remembrance and markers. I'll try it tonight though for sure. :D

LOL.. Luckily you didn't jump off a building to fly.. you'd be dead now xD
That's why you need to check more than just one thing. What I do: When I dream, I'm convincing myself that there is something somewhere. (A window that changes into an airplane. I focus on it in my dream, and it begins to change, when it doesn't I'm not dreaming :P) Also, counting your fingers may help, since they won't change when you're alive (unless you cut 'em off).
