I wouldnt go without telling my parents, i would feel teribble if i did that :P

Well, I've told almost all my family and immediate friends now and a lot of them actually think the idea is pretty cool, so I guess I won't have to worry about hurting too many peoples feelings.

I have sporadic contact with my sister and father, that's all. My brother and I simply have nothing to talk about, and as for my "mom" - I've cut all my ties to her after the way she's treated me.
