Does anybody else find it ironic how FAKE the real world is? I simply can't deal with all the trash and corruption that shows it's head at every level. This tribe seriously needs to work or I actually am gonna lose my mind and not like in the "all my friends think I'm crazy" topic. Why the hell was I born during this time period? Why couldnt I be born back before it was to late? People talk about this point ofno return when humanity will reach a point where it'll destroy itself. Well you know what? I'm pretty sure we passed it WELL before I was born.

I can't tell you guys how much I hate myself for not being here and contributing every day.

Im bored of the "real world". For me everday is the same,

I get up,
wished I had vacation,
going to school,
at school thinking about Avatar,
school over,
back home, thinking: "Tomorrow I've got school again...",
around 11 pm I go to sleep
and when I wake up it starts all over again.

And the weekends go by to fast. Im just bored, everyday the same, Im getting sick of it

Ma Skxwang, your not the only one. I hope you find an outlet, like I did. My outlet I go running on the beach on weekends. It makes me feel free.

Irayo ma frapo (is that correct?)! Yeah, I do have outlets that work but more and more as of late I find my self needing new outlets because I've used my others all up. This forum would appear to be one of my new outlets.

I outlet is thinking how I could legally rip off someones head, but that doesn't help.

I'm not even 16 yet and I see every way the world is corrupt and how easy yet impossible it is to fix it.

Though this society is mangled and rotten, not all hope is lost. I walk around a lot in downtown Denver and I people watch. People, most of the time are ignorant of their actions. A man walked past me, and something fell out of his pocket. And I was just about to pick it up when a woman, stooped down and picked it up herself. I smiled at that. It gave me hope. Although most people are ignorant or refuse to look at the issue, there are those who take a stand, and fight for the earth. And every time I see it, it warms my heart.

I would love to leave this society behind, and be free of consumer idealism, but all of us (for a time) must wear The Mask. The Mask is the way people view you, it's what they see, not who you are. In some form or another we all must wear the mask. However, someday we can strip ourselves of our masks, and be who we truely are, not what we must be for societies eyes.

It sucks doesn't it? Even at my low level deli job I see tons of corruption. And like you said, the solution is SO simple yet impossible to actually do.

Trust me, you do not want to be born before this time. You were worked until you died, which was about 30, you were married off at age 14, and if you were of the upper-class, the corruption there was as bad as it is today.

It's true that today's culture has gone down the drain. The F-word is used as punctuation, people find it okay to wear their pants down to their knees, and everybody's addicted to some form of technology or another.

But get your mind out of the gutter, and realize that with all its pitfalls, today's world is a lot better then yesterday's world!

Oh I'm not saying being born sometime in the past would be easier or anything like that at all. All I'm saying is that it may not have been too late to actually fix things.

Besides, not to be a pin to your balloon, but our "perfect society" will prolly only last the first few generations. After that, our civilization will be as bad as anywhere else. It's just human nature to be greedy and selfish. Why do you think there hasn't been 50 years without a war somewhere since the dawn of humanity?

And it was too late to fix things since Adam and Eve ate the wrong fruit :P. There's no way that in any period of time you'd be able to "fix things".  And going back further, you'd actually have less power to fix things.

Idk. I think a really small society like the one we're building has a HIGH chance of reducing human failings if we can just get off the ground.

And how will that work? Good people can still have evil babies. You actually see this trend in royalty; a good, wise, and kind king will have a rotton baby that's a terrible king, then that king will have a good, wise, and kind baby.

Yeah but royalty is inbred so you can't really use them as an example. I believe that all children are a clean slate, and that if we are good parents, than our children will grow up to be good. It takes a village to raise a child, and that's just what we will have. If a child shows a particular interest in a subject, then we let the child learn from a master of that subject. We can't go wrong....okay maybe someone might go bad but we can handle it.

First, I'm not talking about just inbred royalty. I'm talking about the entire history of royalty. People haven't inbreeded forever. This happens several times in the Bible.

Secondly, yeah, maybe you can handle it, but three generations from now?

3 generations from now most of us won't be around. But our legacy will be. And that which we've taught will stick around for generations to come if we do things right.
