Sure.

Back on topic: would we be taking something to watch the avatar movies on? a lot of people seem to wat to do away with technology altogether.

We'd probably just visit a theater.

Unfortunately, there's no way we're going to be able to do that, because I don't want to be an accurate tribe down to the 30 year max lifespan. :/

However, we've been discussing in several threads what we should and shouldn't bring, and so far it seems like;

1: vehicle of some sort for emergencies.

2: A computer or satellite phone to keep a loose contact with the rest of the world.

3: Some basic hygienic equipment, since I don't want my teeth to rot, and I doubt anyone else does either.

Rather than a list of things to leave behind, it would be easier (and shorter) to make a list of things to bring. Start with the basic three: Shelter, Water, and Food. What things will be required to meet those three needs? Until those are figured out, all the other items are trivial.

I made a thread for stuff to bring put that on that thread

It's not objects we're talking about leaving behind, it's family and friends as well as careers and such.

Im ok with career but I still want to be able to email or comminicat with my family and friends once and a while

you can't ask people to give up those things completly

Exactly. But if we did this, we'd more than likely be seeing a lot less of them. That's also why I think we need a computer.

I agree with the fact we would see them a lot less but to say we have to give them up completly is not realistc

Yeah, I'd give up the tribe before I completely gave up friends and family.

It's pretty simple; don't use the phone/compy.

Me too.

Sorry to bring this up but this is an issue I have been medling with for 5 days. This is the issue of shoes. Once we have no jobs in the civilised world and our only sorce of money is donations, we will and I am saying we will have not enough money for them. So shoes will have to eather be gone forever or replaced by some other natural alternative.
