Hey all, just letting my aysmuk (at least I think that's right) know that I am starting a blog on hunting. My grandfather is going to teach me how to hunt. When he was a young man, he had to hunt to feed his family, so he knows how to really hunt. I have already taken a hunter safety course, and he will be teaching me how to track an animal, how kill it in one shot, how to strip the animal, and how to use almost every part of the animal in some way or another. So we will all be learning together.

Anyway just wanted to share that with you. If you are interested at looking at my blog go here.

Thanks, when I told my dad I was going hunting he nearly flipped.  ::) He's a huge animal lover.

Anyway, yeah I was thinking of creating a pdf of all of my grandfather's tips once he gives them to me, and then posting it up so that everyone can get a copy. If you want to learn more about the basics of hunting, I suggest you go here. Though it's Colorado specific, they have an online hunter education course, and I suggest that everyone take one, on or offline. I have my hunting license so I don't need to take it. Look here for one near you if you live in the U.S. Out of country I'm not sure, but go online and do some research. You'll learn a lot about how to strip an animal in the field, how to track them, and proper weapon safety. Anyway, just things to check out.
