My thoughts of total Na'vi conversion....kind of. Maybe. Hm.

yea i also feel different, i eat a whole lot less throughout the day except for lunch because i have rigorous practice and i need the energy. you may sense the hunger throughout the day but if you manage to ignore it or just eat a very small amount of food or drink something, the feeling subsides. but after a few days of doing this, i dont really realize that im hungry throughout the day. even at dinner im not too hungry but i still eat until im very much full.

This diet reminds me of a plan I tried many years ago.... The Butterfield Diet Plan:

The Peter Serafinowicz Show: The Butterfield Diet Plan

Hehehe notice any similarities?? :P

Just kidding. On a more serious note, the diet-thing does make me feel better than I used to. I never noticed how much crud I was eating beforehand. Evil food conglomerates, filling foods with colours, msg and chemicals.....

I would love to start this "lifestyle"... I'm trying to tone up really well for an end-of-year party, where I plan on dressing as Jake (And not normal Jake, full tribal, Toruk Makto Jake).

But the problem with this (And lots of other "lifestyles") is that people don't have the time. There is only a limited amount of time between college/school/work and home where you can go out and get all these foods. Then you have to work out exactly which foods are good and which aren't, then you have to make it cost effective...

...I would love to be able to go live out on my uncle's farm, get a Bow and Arrow, go hunting (barefoot, or ease into barefoot) and kill my own dinner. Have a PROPER Hunter Gathered lifestyle... But at the same time, who has the time to commit to something like this? Because to keep going you need money and money comes from jobs that we have to slave away at.

The problem here is not your diet/lifestyle and it is not the Na'vi way of life.

It is society as a whole, they do not see; and until we can get something like this MAINSTREAM, nothing will ever properly work... Unfortunately.

ANYWAY, other than that, would you happen to have any ideas/tips for someone who doesn't have that much time? (I'm in final year of education, lots of work)

First off, is there a specific thread for signups? Can't find one.

Second, going with my first post, who has the time for these things, it is simply too hard. I read that you guys plan on having an annual camping trip or something... But this is just unfeasible. I mean, chances are, it's going to be in America and there is no way I can fork out thousands of dollars to get everything and fly over there, period. Let alone annually.

I'm in the same boat as you Kuntulyu, I want to go the the Hong Kong Rugby Sevens as a Na'vi, but I need to tone up first. I'm just eating both minimally and healthily, and dong sit ups etc in the evenings after school. Whilst it is hard to find a regimen to stick to, after a few days you get used to it. As for toning up like a Na'vi, remember that they have tense muscles, not big ones, and as such try to avoid crazy protein and weights techniques to build the muscle. bigger is often weaker, so not only are you safer going for tense muscle, but you will fit the body shape of a Na'vi much more. I'm just working on my gut at the moment; it's not fat but it isn't toned either :P

The camping trips will most likely be spread out, in multiple locations.

For the permanent tribe, who doesn't have time or money? You only need a one-way ticket to the location, and if you're leaving your old lifestyle, why wouldn't you have the time?

My worries with this is healthcare. I mean, we all want to do this as a permanent thing, but if someone comes down with something serious, keeping it restricted to tribe cures will just A) not work and B) spread it to other members, in which case some sort of medical backup will be necessary. In that case, we need to either go somewhere with government health care or we will need insurance. However, both of those things need money, and I'm worried about people ditching money to do this and then getting sick, in which case we will be stuck.

See my worry? :S

No. I'm saying that you won't need the money for flying somewhere every year. And we're planning on having a central fund, so that if something does happen, the whole tribe will help pay for it. Why would we force the individual to pay their own way? That goes against tribe mentality.

I figured there would be some sort of central funding, but that means some of us have to get jobs...... *rolls eyes* Hehehe :P

I'd much prefer tribal life to a desk job any day :P
