what ever I don't care

and I ment we would have a story behind the name

Yeah, I understand that. ATM, I really don't have a preference about how we do this. Your way is fine by me but so are most of the other suggestions.

I say we get everyone's personality and find a name for that.

Letxuma Swizaw

I'm just gonna let whatever happen. Whatever it ends up that i am called by is cool with me.
Oe Skxawnghu längu.

Well that is the way real tribes do it, so I don't see why we shouldn't also ;D

Jake is no longer Toruk Makto I believe. He's just Jake Sully again.

I was just saying that its kind of unnatural to choose our own name like no group or culture does that

That's only cause we were babies, and babies have trouble naming themselves. It's like registering for a name change. You don't let society pick what name you're going to change to.

Yes, because he says that Toruk Macto is no longer needed- which was very cool of him in my opinion. But now that we are back on topic, I think that people should be called whatever they prefer to be called ^_^ Just my thoughts on that

no but in many Native amarican tribes the men would get their names after a becoming men cerimony and the tribe would choose their name based on who they are or what they are good at

I think it's unnecessary, and we don't want anyone to have a name they don't like. Besides, I'm not a big fan of the Runs-with-deer type of names anyway.

so what would you be called

I dunno, I'd have to think about that. Probably a nonsense name that sounds Na'vi.

How would we configure Na'vi names, not names based on language? We should email Frommer or Cameron to name us.

OK these are the ideas I like
1. using our normal names (seems logical)
2.getting a list from Frommer and using them

It's the better idea, we create a Na'vi tribe so we use ... Na'vi names !
