So I noticed there is a lot of talk about barefoot walking/living on this forum and figured I'd toss this one out there:

I got a pair of the KSO's almost 3 years ago and they are now the only shoes I wear. It's just like being barefoot but better... like ... barefoot light. You can feel all the textures of the ground and it allows you foot to move in a more natural way, but no shark rocks and thorns and hot/cold killing your feet. Pretty awesome stuff!!

Then everything changed ... I fell in love. I fell in love with the - with the forest, with the Omaticaya people... with you...
Don't thank! You don't thank for this! This is sad... VERY sad only!

yea... they are a little pricey... but mine have lasted me 3 years + and are showing almost no signs of wear.

I've seen these shoes on a parkour forum a while ago. I can't wait to get pair.

So, they simulate you having walked barefoot forever?

Tis pretty cool, though I think I'll stick with my calluses for now. ;)

pretty much. I usually go barefoot myself but these are super handy for going into stores and what not. I also really like them for trail running cause we have way to many NASTY thorns around here. The woods are full of green self-replenishing razor wire.  >:(

I would consider it, however I'm still unsure, I mean they look interesting but I'm not sure how much of an advantage they are going to be :P Just call me the determined sceptic ;D

Thread Bump: Would these be okay for just walking around town? I would really love a pair to walk around it. Also, what pair do you recommend? Sorry for the thread bump, again.

I like the KSOs if for no other reason than that they can almost look like a normal shoe, you get a lot less questions and comments that way. I also like the sprints because of the top strap. I had a set of the classics a while back and they kept on slipping off my heel.

As far as walking around town... after you get used to them they are fine to wear anywhere. They force you to use muscles in your feet that probably haven't been used much for a while so it can take a week or so before you are comfortable walking on concrete for extended periods of time in them.
