What about the one in AMC at Valco mall?

The one in Cupertino? Digital!
Same for the one at Mission College in Santa Clara and the one in the Eastridge Mall in San Jose.

The Tech Museum of Innovation in San Jose has an IMAX GT Dome (OMNIMAX 82.0 feet diam) though they don't play the documentry "Under the Sea" and not Avatar.

I'm definitely going to the one in San Francisco this or the next weekend before they take off Avatar.

Whats the difference between digital and the other IMAX? I've never been to one so it would still probably be better than Real-D 3D, right?

Well, so far I have only been to the digital one in the Eastridge Mall. The sound is better and the screen is a bit larger than in a regular Real3D theatre but the difference isn't massive.
However the GT IMAX screens should be a total different animal: much larger screens and way superior image quality.

Well it looks like it's between Friday and Saturday, so you and Tsu'roen get to arm wrestle that one out.  Lets make a call Thursday afternoon sometime which day it will be so we can get a count of who is going ASAP.

Okay so well decide later today, when you all wake up again. Now what do you want to do when we meet? I've asked a couple of times, but it seems people are avoiding that one.

It looks like Saturday it is.  I think I remember seeing someone say they could join after work, at 8:00ish?  Maybe we could meet up sooner, and do whatever then when they could join us do whatever else...

For example, movie at 5:00, food/coffee shop/snacks/whatever at 8:00?  (Maybe just hanging out before 5:00)
Or the other way around (Hang out/food/coffee/whatever until 8:00 then movie?)

Or just skip the movie and hang out?

If people do want to go see Avatar (Why the heck would we want to do that) doing it in 15/70 imax would mean SF I presume, though more of us AFAIK are further south than that.  Digital imax is, IMO, not really worth the cost over RealD.

Well, I can't go at all this week. My dad just got out of surgery so I need to stick around the house to help take care of him. Maybe next time eh?

I think we should go to San Jose over SF with the number of south Bay peeps.

Ok Saturday, no time limit as everyone is a yes...  We don't have to stay in one place either, we can always meet in s. bay and head up to SF if we really want to see true Imax.

How does 2:00pm work for everyone meeting on Saturday?  I'll try and figure out a place tonight but I'm aiming for Sunnyvale area.

Meeting in Sunnyvale at 2PM or earlier is fine with me.
