Yes, at the moment this post is a little self serving, but I would like to extend it to anyone who wants to plan regular meetups in their area.  Post the details here and I'll include it in the list.  Feel free as well to use this thread to discuss logistics and ideas related to regular meetups.

You guys have SO got your stuff together! Kudos. Waiting for Indiana though...

Cool! Working on the NH spot. It's a good central location for NE

So what do we want to do and roughly where? Should it just be a get together type place. Should it be something recreational like bowling. What's our goal?

In San Jose we meet up at a coffee shop.  So far it's been mostly social, but hopefully we'll start to get to actually doing stuff to help us in our Na'vi.

The problem is I really don't know anything around here. I stick close to
my tiny area and don't know too much outside of it. Kinda like a hobbit.

The main issue in Indiana is that we're spread thinly over the state, and I doubt EVERYONE who is interested in speaking Na'vi is on the forum. Getting the word out is a challenge in itself. Also, I think that in rural communities like where I live, very few people know that there even IS a language to be learned. In a university of a couple thousand, I only know of MAYBE a dozen who have seen AVATAR.

You will just have to move to California.

Lol. Don't worry! I'm staying here! If I appear uninterested in this, that is not the case. I have too much going on ATM to be the main guy planning this.

If anyone would be interested in a regular or semi-regular meet in the Houston Texas area, we might could set something up. It would have to be somewhere that has margaritas!

It's been really fun going out to the coffee shop and talking about and learning about the movie and language. Last week, we translated a Navajo Coyote story. Even if the story was a bit bleak. It was still loads of fun. Can't wait for this Sunday.
