[Tìk sì Tseyn] Word help

I'm getting ready to translate my next Tìk sì Tseyn book, so I'm going through it looking up words I don't know and there are a few words I'm uncertain about and/or can't find.

1)  Does the color red have a name yet?   I can't seem to find anything, so I'm guessing no....

2) Is there a word for boat?   The Avatar script has a brief scene with a canoe in it, so I'm assuming the Na'vi are at least familiar with the concept, but there's nothing in the dictionary or ASG that I could find that named this ... constructed thing for water travel?

     tìtxula fpi pay sop
      constructed thing for the sake of water travel?

     tìtxula fpi s<er>op sìn+pay  -->  tìtxula fpi serop sìnfay
     constructed thing for the sake of travelling on water?   

     Please tell me there is a specific word for boat. 

3) One line is "Jane can play".   Would I use uvan si even though I need a more generic play, and not play a game specifically?

AFAIK, here is what is now being said about red.  In short: Na'vi has no word for red.  Perhaps it could be constructed as "reypayä 'opin" until a Frommerian word arrives.

säpaysop is good!     Nice and simple.   

So when you create a compound word, you can just sort of munge the word root-parts together?     Is that how it works?

I've seen sä before, but didn't realize what it's function is.  Very handy.

Ah, that confirms it then.  It was for "see the red boat" but maybe I'll make it a blue boat instead.

Sran, compounding is pretty much just sticking words together. Olo'eyktan is a good example of this as it's probably derived (or at least it seems very likely to me that it is) from olo'-eyk-tutan which just gets shoved together and one syllable gets dropped (I'm not too sure how do the obfuscation that happens afterwards but that's not too important).

Also, we've been cautioned against using sä- too much, Frommer isn't entirely sure how common it would be or what to do with it, so tread carefully.

We already have this word: tun = red, orange. I don't know why it is not in Taronyu's dictionary. I took it here...

rim = yellow
teyr = white
layon = black

Hmm... I wonder what word the Na'vi would use to describe purple (at Utral aymokriyä...)

Purple is red-blue, and there's a word for blue-spiral plant anìheyu so maybe antun?

Tun, although from Frommer, really shouldn't be out in the public. Frommer is thinking about how to represent colours more - until he gives us an update, tun should probably be viewed as uncannonical.

True, but I believe that that word was held back. My search fu is not strong today.

The color thing is still a subject of intense debate. Most 'common' colors are still undefined, or defined in a broad, ambiguous way.
