Neyn'ite Te Tsahìk Txeptsyìp'ite

this is a Wiccan bedtime prayer I've been using for years. a few of the words may be hard to translate; if you could possibly find synonyms for those words, then irayo. if not, do what you can, ulte irayo nìtxan, ma 'eylan!

In the still of the night,
while the world around me sleeps,
may tirea smile upon me,
ulte ma Eywa bring me peace.
Blessings upon those I love,
and those who love me.
I know that you will care for them,
and bring them what they need.
Instill in me great harmony;
in thought, in word, in deed.
So mote it be.

if it's too difficult, lu tam, ma 'eylan. Eywa ngahu.

instead of the last sentence, so mote it be, could 'blessed be' be translated?

ulte, ma Txonä, once you fix the errors and we figure out the last line, could you give me the correct translation? irayo nìtxan, ma tsmuke.

Hm. Well we don't have a word for "blessing" the closest we have is meuia which I could use a si construction with. What would we be blessing/honoring?

For mote it be, I'd say fìfya liveiu and for blessed be, I think, Eywa ngahu would work in most cases.

May it be this way (and I'm happy about it).  Good translation ma Sireayä.

An alternative for "Blessed be" (which is an expression that I've always loved), might be: Nawma Sa'nok lrrtok siveiyi, or "may the great mother smile..."

Ftxavanga Txe′lan

One can take Norm's line in the movie to find that out, ma Neyn'ite. :)

'Awvea ultxari ohengeyä, nawma sa'nok lrrtok siveiyi.
May the Great Mother smile upon our first meeting.

So I would say it means something like "May the Great Mother smile (upon [...])" or something similar. :)

Sireayä mokri

"Lrrtok siveiyi" by itself is just may smile (and the speaker is feeling good about it); the subject is not necessarily Eywa (the Great Mother).
When the mirror speaks, the reflection lies.

Ftxavanga Txe′lan

Oh yes, okay! :) I had included nawma sa'nok in my translation for some reason, but it makes more sense now. ;) Irayo!

I'm wondering about the construction of siveiyi though. :) Is it s<iv><ei>yi?
