Though I think I see your point. What then should it be? the meaning I want is closest to "fìtxan"

was the original meaning but since "far" is the adjective in English and "be far" is the verb translating to Na'vi I can see what happened there. What would be a better way to say this then? If you got one, K2C.

I'd say nìtxan (fìtxan); we just don't have anything else at the moment.

sure. no syllable change, and actually thinking of nìtxan when you said fìtxan is wrong. see now there probably should be some change in the definition stating that fìtxan can *ONLY* be used to directly modify modifiers. (source?)

I'm not sure exactly how many canon examples of this word we have, but we surely can make that assumption based on this: Fwa sute pxel nga tsun oeyä hì'ia tìngopit sivar fte pivlltxe nìlor fìtxan oeru teya si.

But that seems strange. I'd like Not saying my use is correct, but also Not saying it's incorrect, until it's either confirmed or denied. Many a time we have assumed things and have been wrong. I wish I could ask and get a quick answer but he never answers me. busy guy, Frommer.

I guess I'll change it to "nìtxan" for now...but I'll keep fìtxan in mind and await an answer.

Generally the idea of fìtxan+verbs doesn't really look good to me.

but if you think of it by its current definition and those quotes i posted earlier, it makes sense. I will split this topic into a topic about fìtxan in /beginners/vocab
