Hi!

I'm wondering how to say "mine" in Na'Vi?
There's words for yours, hers/his, but I cannot find any for mine?

Is it as simple as oeyä?

Well his is poanya and hers is poeya so yeah. Mine is 'oeya'.

(really can't be bothered to put the accents in)
Can someone tell me the shortkey to the accented letters you need for Na'Vi?

Quote11.) Oe-yä tsmukan-ri toruk makto
My brother, he rides toruk

That's basically Mine.

Na'viyä Tsamsiyu

Mine can be said Oe-yä, -yä showing possession

or Oe-ri, -ri being a topic marker, like
Oe-ri ontu teya lu
My-TOP, nose, full, (be)

But here's this,
QuoteNo one except Frommer knows the correct way to form the possessive of oe

So for the moment we'll probably have to stick with 'Oeya'

Na'viyä Tsamsiyu

You mean Oeyä ?

Its important to type the accent markers because you just said oh-yah, in stead of the proper pronunciation, oh-yeah.

Yeah, i said before i can't be bothered to put the accents in. How do you do it? Shortkey? (cos I don't wanna go copy and paste from somewhere else all the time). And is it possibly to just add a button that inserts it (like button as in like where bold, italics go)

So every time we say mine (for now) we need to sound like the kool-aid man? Pronounced "oe-yeah"

Here ya'are Tskxäozì. You can change the US-International to your default and then remove the US standard keyboard if you get sick of it changing between the two when you switch applications.

Isn't it more like:
'oh-eh yah'?

Tanax

So it's Oeyä then? Does it differ if you write it like Oeyä or Oe-yä ?
And yes, it would be pronounced as Oh-eh yeh.

Regarding His and Her. Just to clear it up, can it be said both Poanyä/Poéyä and Peyä ? Because previously in this topic some guy said it was Poanyä and Poéyä, while in the grammar section is says possesive forms of her/his is Peyä.

The ä is as in Apple.   So not "yeh".

When it says his/her, that's just how it's showing that it's gender neutral.

Oe-yä is just annotating the affixes so people know what it's saying.  Oeyä would be how it would normally be written otherwise.

This is a long version of the chart, but by using the "alt" key and typeing a 4 digit code you can get the special characters.  Here is a full chart: http://tlt.its.psu.edu/suggestions/international/accents/codealt.html#accent.  For example to get the a with its two dots you would hold ALT while typing 0228 (remember the zero) and you get ä.

Lucky for me that I live in Sweden and have a swedish keyboard that comes standard with å ä and ö  ;D

Na'viyä Tsamsiyu

Can't you change your keyboard to international?

Are you referring to me?

I've changed mine to International but sometimes the í and ä doesn't work when posting and I have to type it in notepad first then c&p. But for now, it's doing ok ^^
