I'm hoping one of our awesome Na'vi speakers can help me out here, I'm trying to translate the following .....
QuotePeace friend.
Be strong.
You [to these aliens] prove you are amazing.
You [to these aliens] prove you are not [an] animal.
You [to these aliens] prove you are person, are talented and amazing person.
You are of importance, and are something rare and of great value.

Here is my attempt .....
QuoteFpom ma 'eylan,
Seykxel.
Ngal faketuwongti wìngay nga wou.
Ngal faketuwongti wìngay nga ke lu ioang.
Ngal faketuwongti säwìntxu nga lu tute, lu nawri, nawmtu si.
Nga tsranten, lu tsyeym si.
Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

Vawmataw

Livu fpom ma 'eylan.
Seykel livu.
Nga tsranten ulte lu tsyeym

Important things:
- Indirect objects are marked with -ru, -r or -ur.
- si isn't productive, in other words you can't freely make verbs
- When there is an argument clause (ex: You know that...), we use ''futa'', except when there is a speech verb.

Plumps

I agree with Vawmataw's second version ;)

Ma Vawmataw, what's *faypxeut? ... "these three things?" I'd say fìpxeut, from the form fìmeu that we have attested ;)

Vawmataw

I proposed a version that avoids repetition and an other that probably respects more the length of the speech.

Oopsie! You're right! :)

Second version from Vawmataw is ok, but there's still something to add:
QuotePeace friend.
Ngaru (livu) fpom, ma 'eylan.
Version of Vawmataw without ngaru doesn't seem correct to me (and his note about lefpom is incorrect, fpom is noun, lefpom is adjective, what makes big difference - and lefpom is not for people...)

QuoteBe strong.
Livu txur. -> it means physical strength. Seykxel is for emotional strength, so you must choose based on context.

QuoteYou are of importance, and are something rare and of great value.
Nga tsranten, nga lu zey sì tsyeym.
Oe lu skxawng skxakep. Slä oe nerume mi.
"Oe tasyätxaw ulte koren za'u oehu" (Limonádový Joe)

archaic

Seykxel would be correct for this.

Thank you all very much for your help.  :D   8)

I considered lu to mean ''there is'', but maybe I'm wrong.
