Being a society with an oral history, I believe that the role of preserving and continuing those stories with the next generation would be an important position/role...
That said how would you phrase this sentence?
"Oe lu (the??) vur pengyu." ?
Oe lu (again, translation for "the" here) Vurpengyu." ??
Advice?

One more (hopefully I'm not being too naughty not starting a new topic...) thing "an" in:
"Oe lu (an) reltseotu."
"I am an artist."

Just to clarify on the overall topic here: there are no articles (the, a, an) per se in Na'vi.

vur can be translated as either 'story', 'a story' or 'the story' depending on the context
