"to give thanks" is an idiomatic expression, in na'vi its expressed with the verb normally translated as "to thank" which is "irayo si".

Also, to show that Eywa is the recipient of the thanks, it has to take the dative case with -r(u) (the u can be dropped). This may seem unnecessarily complicated, but enables you to move words around for different effects. I'd probably end up saying "irayo si oe eywar" although any rearrangement of the constituents "irayo si", "oe" and "eywar(u)" would be correct.
