I have been busy working on a Na'vi class for the Worldcon Science Fiction convention next week in Chicago. Every Worldcon has a secondary name, usually related to the city where it is held, and this year, it is Chicon 7.

In building a list of useful Na'vi words to encourage casual use of the language for the new learners, I have determined that there are a few loanwords that would be useful. Here is the list, and the loanwords I have attempted. Any additional suggestions would be helpful. (These are not intended in any way to be 'official'!)

astronaut - äsronaut (honorable term)
award - a'war
Chicago - Sìkako
Chicon - Saykon
costume - kostum
dealer - tealer
fantasy - fantsi
filk - fìlìk
hotel - hotel
hugo - huko
masquerade - maskerate
panel - panel
rocket - roket (colloquial name for a Hugo award)
space - spase
speaker -spiker
steampunk - stimpung

Because these are somewhat specialized terms one might frequently use at a science fiction convention. I thought it would be nice to have some Na'vi-ish terms for them, to encourage the participants to use what they learned. The other words in the lesson and in the little word-list I am adding are all attested Na'vi words that can be used as-is.

And Irayo for your contribution! I rather like what you did.

I redid the transliteration using ´Oma Tirea´s rules. A lot of your transliterations seem to be spelling pronunciations, which isn´t really fitting for an irregularly spelled language like English.
Previously Ithisa Kīranem, Uniltìrantokx te Skxawng.

Name from my Sakaš conlang, from Sakasul Ältäbisäl Acarankïp

"First name" is Ačankif, not Eltabiš! In Na'vi, Atsankip.
