How would one say leave, as in leave a message?

Also, just to see if I have it right or not, how would one translate phone into Na'vi? And if it's not possible, what could be used as an alternative word?

I would probably use tìng to giveOel tamìng ngaru 'upxaret.

We don't and will probably never have "phone."  I would just describe the actual device: 'u a fko sar fte pivlltxe tuteohu alìm, but I know this is a bit wordy.

If you want to say phone when writing na'vi stuff I would just suggest putting "telephone" in brackets { }, even if someone speaks a different language chances are they'll have an idea of what it is since it sounds pretty much the same everywhere.

telefonski - croatian
telefoon - afrikaans
телефон - bulgarian
telefon - czech

you get the idea.
otherwise ya we won't be getting a na'vi word for it.

Like neo, I'd use tìng for leave even though it actually means give because I'm not sure how we'd handle it.

As for telephone, the name is of greek origin (far-voice) so sounds pretty much the same everywhere in the world, this means borrowing it is reasonable (well, the fact that the na'vi wouldn't have them also makes it reasonable) so telefon would work.

Or you could translate it etymologically as far-voice to give you mokrilìm.
