I was looking through my Na'vi dictionary, and I noticed there are no words or adpositions for the following:

to bleed....... (reypey si?)
Off (as in fall off something)...
Into...
Cave...

I know you may wonder why i am asking about these ones specifically. The only reason is that I was thinking of sentences to practice writing, and a few of them had these words.
Oeru syaw fko Taronyu

(literally, my name is Hunter)

Kemaweyan

Nìrangal frapo tsirvun pivlltxe nìNa'vi :D

Well, at least a quarter of my current problems are solved. (lol)
Oeru syaw fko Taronyu

Plumps

'fall off' could also be translated as zup ta/ftu ... but not sure about that.

And if you have suggestions for the ones we don't yet have, there's always the LEP ;)

Na'vi only recently begun to develop. So many words is not enough.
Tse'a ngal ke'ut a krr fra'uti kame.

I know, but they should have at least made a word for "to bleed." Was there no bleeding in that movie?

the language is STILL under construction. look at the LEP link which Plumps posted above. with knowledge of existing words, existing phonology rules, and other things considered, you may make suggestions for words to be added.

As for nervous/anxious, we do have:

sngum: n. worry (and nìsngum: adv. worryingly, fretfully)

Quote from: Na'viteri
8. sngum (n.) 'worry'

For verb (worry, be worried, be anxious), uses "lu DAT" construction:

Lu oeru sngum a saronyu ke tìyevätxaw.

'I'm worried that the hunters will not return (soon, as expected).'

Oooo, good point!  That would definitely work in some cases.  I was imagining a scene in an RP where there might be a confrontation, and one character might feel nervous...as though s/he would be caught out in a lie.  Sort of like the scene where Jake Sully nervously explains that he's a member of the "Jarhead Clan".  Do you think sngum would work in this case, or is it more like a mother worrying for her children?

What about breathe?

Or nervous?

we dont have "breathe" yet, but suspect we will soon, if the LEP suggests it and gets approval. more poetically, at the moment, we are able to say something like "air enters my lungs". but conversationally, I am not so sure this isfunctional enough. again, this word we will have in the future. keep comin up with these missing words! the more we find missing, the more can be suggested in the LEP and we will have them.

so far, sngum seems like it can be used for any situation where a person may have worry or such feelings, but not quite doubt or fear (two things we DO have words for)

So if I wanted to say that someone was nervously shifting from foot to foot, I would use sngum?

It was in fact proposed in February, with several alternative derivations, but we haven't heard back on it.
