That's not what Frommer says ... and I trust him more than Jake with his probably erroneous Na'vi language skills ;)

well put, Irayo. it is good to be able to ask someone how they are feeling. also, I laughed quite a bit at the example conversation.

So, I have a conversation about Lu...ru(I have), and my friends are not sure that this form is right :-\ what facts I can give them to make sure that they believe?

He can argue his disagreement with Frommer.  I don't think it's an argument he will win though.

Yes, I gave them this site, but they don't believe that it is Frommer's grammar (they think that someone made it, but not Frommer). Though, I have my opinion in this question ;) thanks man :D

Well they are welcome to keep learning the wrong thing, but that will only be their fault.  I don't need any more proof of it than the email from Frommer which I still have saved and spells out exactly what's on the wiki article.  (In fact, it's a copy & paste.)

What about "Sweet dreams"?  I know in English we often wish someone a good sleep by saying "good night" but in both Irish and Japanese (as well as other languages I'm sure) the idiom used to wish someone a good sleep is "good/lucky/peaceful dreams" (Oíche mhaith in Irish and Oyasumi nasai in Japanese respectively)

Given that, would it be appropriate to say something like "unil lefpom" as a blessing on sleep?

omängum fra'uti

Well we've been given "txon lefpom" as goodnight, but I don't see anything wrong with "unil lefpom".

Irayo :D

See, to me, the meaning of "good night" is a little different from the meaning of "sweet dreams" and having a background in a couple languages that use that idiom has made me much more aware of my own use of it in everyday life, so I was curious.

omängum fra'uti

I'm still struggling with a background in only one language, when it comes to idioms.  But with Na'vi, there is not a lot of cultural history to draw on for idioms, and they basically need to be defined the same as the regular vocabulary.  So far, very few idioms that are not from Paul Frommer are in use because of that.
