Pronouns

That four-by-four table can look confusing at first glance, so here's a way to think about the pronouns that may be easier:

oe	I
nga	you
po	he/she
me	two (the dual affix)
ay	many (the plural affix)

The easy part is realizing that many of the other forms are just combining some of those four pieces in various combinations.  nga becomes ng when combining with oe, and po can turn into fo via lenition, but otherwise it's pretty straightforward:

ay-oe	many-me	exclusive 1st person plural	"us guys"
oe-ng	me-you	inclusive 1st person dual	"me and you"
ay-oe-ng	many-me-you	inclusive 1st person plural	"us guys and you"
ay-nga	many-you	2nd person plural	"you guys"
me-fo	two-he/she	3nd person dual	"those two"
ay-fo	many-he/she	3nd person plural	"those guys"

By extension, the second person dual ("you two") might be *me-nga.

There are supposedly trial forms but we don't know any of those yet.  I'll lay odds they work similarly though.

nga is you

and ngenga is an honorific.

Thank you for explaining this to me, I've been trying to chart out the pronouns for two days and the way the pronouns have been explained was all jumbled up and confused to me.

So that pronouns are pretty much separated this way:

Singular Pronouns
1st Person - Me/I - Oe
2nd Person - You - Nga
3rd Person - Him/Her - Poan/Poé

Dual Pronouns
1st Person Inclusive - Me and You - Oe-ng
1st Person Exclusive - Me and Her - Moe
2nd Person - You and Her - *me-nga
3rd Person - Him and Her -me-fo

Plural Pronouns
1st Person Inclusive - Me, You and more - ay-oe-ng
1st Person Exclusive - Me, Her and more - ay-oe

You have the gender suffix versions of singular 3rd person, but the genderless of the dual and plural.

3rd person singular: po (it/they) po-an (he) po-e (she)
3rd person dual: me-fo (Those two) me-fo-an (Those two guys) me-fo-e (Those two girls)
3rd person plural: ay-fo (Them) ay-fo-an (Those guys) ay-fo-e (Those girls), or alternately just fo, fo-an and fo-e would work as well.

I don't really understand the difference.. Could you put it in a context with english translation?

I've been looking around this area trying to find "your", specifically so I can write "what is your name?" in Na'vi for the RP. I've been combing here and the website looking for it as either a pronoun or as "interaction", but so far no joy.

A form of "aynga", right?

well..to add possession, you use -yä, therefore, you would most likely say:

nga-yä ---------> to represent "your"

however, i'm unaware of a direct translation for "what is your name?" but a possible re-route question would be:

peu     ay-po-l      nga-ti     syaw?

          PL, ERG       ACC

What     they         you       call ----------> What do they call you?

Dont know if thats perfect/suitable though.
