"txo ngati makto hu oe.tsakrr oel hawnu nga tì'i'avay krrä"
"If you ride with me, Then I'll protect you till the end of time"

Edit1:"txo ngati makto hu oe.tsakrr oel hasyawnu ngati tì'i'avay krrä"

I got the "If... Then..." from my request thread, now i'm just asking for a general review of the two sections of the sentance, specifically looking at the affixes, because I'm never really sure about them :)

Feedback appreciated.

Only real problem I see is you stuck a noun case on the first "nga" and didn't on the second, swap those two and it seems fine to me.
Ftxey lu nga tokx ftxey lu nga tirea? Lu oe tìkeftxo.

I agree with Omängum. :D

very engish word order, but there is nothing really wrong with that. It just seems kind of weird to me to see na'vi directly translated(I'm not used to it lol)

nice. you were veryy close with this one!  ;D

Just one more thing... in your English version you have the word I'll

I'll protect = I will protect
will protect = h<ay>awnu

So along with switching the nga and the ngati, I would also suggest using hayawnu (the future tense of hawnu)

on that note, this sounds like a good time to use the "future tense with determination" form. <asy>

WILL<definately> Protect: h<asy>awnu.

its for when you WILL do everything in your power to do something. (as far as I understand) I sometimes like to think of <asy> as "shall" and <ìsy> as "shall soon" but this may/may not be correct. ;)

Thank you very much :)
i'm curious about the <asy> comes from. I assume its combining <ay> and something else;
But I don't know the rules about this sort of combination, or what the other element is =)

I also think of <asy> as shall ma tirea, but I disagree that it should be used here even though, when thought of as shall it would seem to fit.

A fuller way of thinking about <asy> would be "I am determined that I shall" and "if you ride with me then I am determined that I shall protect you" seems a bit odd.

That said, I guess it's pretty much personal taste, you would, I wouldn't and the more I think about it, the more it feels like I'm probably wrong.  :D

There's no other element, a determined form only makes sense in future forms so it's just a variant. Of course, determinitive future (im)perfective infixes could interesting with the syllable structure.  :D

Sounds very out of my depth at present xD
But the meaning "I'm determined I shall protect you" is very close to the intended meaning :)
Unless there's anything else I'm missing, I'll go with that :D

I don't think it really makes sense in the imperfective.  To me, determination to make something happen implies you are seeing it as an event that will occur, not an ongoing thing...  You wouldn't, for example, say "While I am determined to go hunting, I will be extra quiet".

The sentence I was proposing was more along the lines of "I am determined that I shall be speaking na'vi nì'aw in a few months" the determination and future are in there hence <asy> but there's also the be speaking which implies an imperfective.
