Kaltxì frapo,
We're trying to translate a sentence into Na'vi and are not certain if this is the correct form.

I thank you for being a moron.
Fì'uri oe ngaru seiyi irayo a lu skxawng nga.

Any advice/ corrections is greatly appreciated.

O.o ;D

Ngari a lu skxawng oe irayo sängi.
or simply
Ngari a lu skxawng oe irayo si.

I don't think you are happy that he's moron, except if it's funny. ;D

-eiy- or -ei- are for amelioration (favorable connotation), comparatively to -äng- which is for pejorative.

HRH ;D
That's funny.

Oe irayo si ngaru a skxawng lu. = I thank you for being a moron.
I think too simple... :-X

Yes, but in Na'vi we usually use topic.

Ngari a lu skxawng oe irayo sängi.
or simply
Ngari a lu skxawng oe irayo si.

But that would mean "I thank for you (who is a moron)"

I think Tìtstewan is on the right track here...
Oe irayo si ngaru a skxawng lu. "I thank you who are a moron."

Another possibility is
Furia nga lu skxawng oe irayo si. "I thank for the fact that you are a moron."

This was my first idea for this. Thing being thanked for is expressed with topical.
Oe lu skxawng skxakep. Slä oe nerume mi.

Kaltxì frapo,
The <ei> was put in there on purpose. It was meant to be funny because it is an inside joke. So I know you do not usually use it like this. But thanx for all the replies. Funny to see how one can translate a particular sentence in so many ways though... ;D

Alyara Arati

Ngari irayo seiyi oe talun nga leru skxawng.

I thank you because you are being a moron.

Taking Plump's example and modifying it, would this be clearer? (Nice use of furia!)

Furia nga lu skxawng oe irayo si ngaru
