Neyn'ite Te Tsahìk Txeptsyìp'ite

so I noticed on the updated dictonary/translator (the app for iPhone/iPod) that the word for 'so' is fìtxan; 'very much' is nìtxan, so how would you say thank you so much or thank you so very much? just irayo fìtxan? or, I dunno, fnìtxan? ;)

Well, I think fìtxan nìtxan would be grammatical, but it does sound a bit odd with the stem repetition.  I'd probably just stick with irayo nìtxan, or convey intensity in other ways (maybe go formal if it's appropriate, throw in seiyi with irayo, use further expressions of gratitude, etc.).

what about nìftxan? its meaning is perfect. irayo nìftxan nìtxan. or even just irayo nìftxan.

This word is only used in direct comparisons, unfortunately, so it won't work for this meaning.  With nìftxan you need a point of comparison.

Tswusayona Tsamsiyu

ohh. didn't know. so probably just fìtxan nìtxan.

I think "thank you so very much" is enough for thankings..

srane, ma Ikran; however, what would you say? 'so' is fìtxan, and I am not sure there is a way to say much without saying very.

I kind of like Irayo fìtxan nìtxan It has a nice ring to it. There are possible uses for this in song and poetry.

Where I see an issue with this is IMHO, Irayo fìtxan nìtxan seems kind of idiomatic. I'm not sure a Na`vi would express thing this way. Unless there is a really specific reason for this, I would follow Wm. Annis's suggestions for conveying the meaning you are trying to get across here.

Fìtxan isn't a direct translation of so, it just means "this much"..

Agree. This "so" seems too "English-like". I think just adding <ei> would be the best option here.
When the mirror speaks, the reflection lies.

I want to warn you away from the direct translation.

For emphasis I have gone crazy via reduplication (don't take this as official BTW): irayo nìtxantxan(txantxan...)!
