In Na'vi "tìkxey" means "wrongness" or "mistakenness" but I want to say "I was wrong" ... how do I change it ("tìkxey") to make it mean that? It doesn't seem like a tense or mood modification.

Kaltxì!

Since we know that "i'm right" is "oeru tìyawr lu", i'd say that "i was wrong" should be "oeru tìyawr ke lamu".

Actually, we also have the phrase tìkxey ngaru (lu) so I was wrong would follow that and be oeru tìkxey (lamu).

Thanks, I adpated that to use "tìkxey" (not negated) and curiously ...

... and ended up with exactly that ("oe-ru tìkxey l<am>u") which I posted in a reply to Tirea Aean and then saw your remark so I am pleased I seem to have gotten it right  (must be paying attention for once in my life) :)

Thanks guys :)

omängum fra'uti

Commonly it is used without the "lu".

Ngaru tìkxey - You're wrong
Oeru tìkxey - I'm wrong

etc

(Repeating what kemeoauniaea was indicating with (), but it probably wasn't terribly clear to those who didn't already know about it.)

I probably ought to get in the habit of specifying what I mean with the parentheses given how often I use them, irayo ma omängum.
