Hello everyone,

We all know that a vocabulary already exists on the internet, the link is also on the forum. But for me, and I think for some others, I don't think that it's really well made. I explain myself.

Yes we have all the words in an alphabetical order, but form Na'vi to english. I think it would be easier to use to put in an alphabetical order from english to Na'vi, or putting all those words in categories, and then in those categories in an alphabetical order. I hope you can understand what I mean.

I know this will be a long work, but I think it could be easier then for everyone. If no one wanna do this, I'll try to do it tomorrow morning.

I'm completely with you. I can't think about making a sentence by searching all over the glossary everytime. By the way, i've translated yesterday the vocabulary into french, for those who are interested (and it would be nice to have a correction, not sure of everything). Having a theme glossary is useful too, the Avatar Wiki page is the only one for now.
And if you want some help, we can share the work \o/

I agree, this would be really helpful when searching for terms, at the moment I'm just using my browser's page search function, but that get's very fiddly after a while.

A simple vocabulary database could probably be created.  A much more fiendish problem would be to help people find the root of a highly inflected verb, for example, matching tayarängon to the root taron

Hey guys, I've already updated my dictionary on my PDF version of an analysis of Na'Vi with a English to Na'Vi and Na'vi to English.  Hope it helps!

I'd really like to thank everyone for their feedback on the PDF I created for Na'Vi, and so I hope this will be the final product!  It has a bilingual dictionary, the phonology, the grammar, and an IPA Lexicon for those who can read IPA.  Enjoy!

As you already made an alphabetical english to Na'vi version, what am going to do now and tomorrow morning is trying to categorize everything into different themes like corps, nature or so. With colours.

But it's gonna be long I guess. By the way I have the time and the will to do it.

Did anyone see the word for seven? kinä?  I didn''t know that there was a number seven out there.  That has to mean that there is a strong chance that numbers 1-8 are individual words and not comprised of other words, like tsivol 040

Incredible work! I'm heading off to see Avatar (for the second time), but once I get back, I'll gladly enter this into a database prototype I've been working on. Do I have your permission to post it on the main website?

Also, who knows enough about computational linguistics to help set up a translation / search-engine? My database knowledge is at an intermediate level, but nowhere near good enough to set up a functional translation web-interface. (Which would, of course, be free. Silly iPhone apps.)
