Hi all,

I'm trying to learn the conversational na'vi list and came across awnga.

The world list tells me the word means we but we is a word with a million meanings  :)
I know nga is you but I can't find what aw- means.

Also could you mention where I can find the info for myself

awnga: [awŋa] F pn. we derived from "ayoeng" we
私は太った男だ。

omängum fra'uti

More specifically, it's a contraction.  One of the few irregular forms we have.  It comes out as one less syllable in many cases...  Unfortunately not something you can specifically look up the parts directly.  The meaning of "us" in this case is 1st person inclusive plural.

Ayoengeyä
vs
Awngeyä

Ayoengur
vs
Awngar

etc

There's the Na'vi-English Dictionary, which Txur'Itan pointed to.   There's also the Na'vi Textbook on Wikibooks, which contains pretty much everything there is to know about Na'vi so far.

For example, check out the pronouns chapter to learn more about awnga and the other words it's related to.
