I can't speak with authority but as I understand it (For the WIN) is an Internet idiom. It is like saying TEWTI in Na'vi, or cool, awsome, or that is quite the excellent and pleasantly victorious outcome in english, and then combining it with an alternate use of (for the sake of) these.things-TOP.

I like this NLSHTOT. +
NLSHTOT will lead to victories with communication understood. +
NLSHTOT is humorous to me and it means humorously triggered responses, which is what I want it to mean.
= NLSHTOT for the WIN.

Yeah, I couldn't quite figure out the structure of it to decide what version of 'for' we were going to need.

"For Queen and Country" seems a little different.

Anyway,

AKUKT - rough equivalent of IRL (in real life)
a krr uniltìrantokxmì ke tok
when avatar-body+in not be/occupy
When not in my Avatar

oe skxawng lu AKUKT

Edit: Shifted mì to the end of the noun.

Furrkxan

IMO - In my opinion

could be OF ( Or ORF ) which is Oe-ri fpìl (LIT. As for me I think )

I'm not good about the topical suffix, so feel free to correct me.

I'd swap the order of a krr to krr a, since uniltìrantokxmì ke tok is a relative clause that modifies the noun krr.

As it stands, oe skxawng lu AKUKT would translate to "When I am a moron, I am not in an Avatar." Switch to oe skxawng lu KAUKT and we get the "I am a moron when not in an Avatar" that I think you intended to say.

Sounds good... if you can swap things round like that and it does what you think.

Not personally seen it done before so this is very interesting.

Sanmäkx

I based my suggestion on http://wiki.learnnavi.org/index.php?title=Canon#Krr:_noun_vs_adverb. While an explicit precedence for krr a in that order isn't given there, we know that the position of a relative to the modified noun is significant in other cases, such as fì'u a versus a fì'u. Generally, a is always placed on the side of the noun closest to the subordinate clause.

oe skxawng lu krr a uniltìrantokxmí ke tok
I am a moron at a certain time, that time being when I'm not in my Avatar.

oe skxawng lu a krr uniltìrantokxmì ke tok
At the time I am a moron, I'm not in my Avatar.

That's cool - seems logical to me.

And whilst it's possible it wouldn't be a valid form, I think you probably right. Not that my opinion counts for anything mind. :D

Cheers mate, I'll have to remember this one.

HTH - hope this helps:
I hope that this helps you

sìlpey oe, ngaru fi'u       srung sivi.
hope   1   2-DAT this.thing help  do<SUBJ>

which should be SFS (sìlpey fi'u srung)

HAND - have a nice day:

ngaru livu     sìltsana  trr.
2-DAT be<SUBJ> good-ATTR day

would then be NLST

Any comments on improvements are greatly appreciated.

I'm not good about the topical suffix, so feel free to correct me.

All you need to know is that it is never needed and almost always wrong.

As for IMO, it would really depend on whether it is before or after the sentence it describes.

If after then it should be a Fì'ut Oel Fpìl. If before then it should be Oel Fpìl Futa.

So we get FOF and OFF.

As for the others:

WTF ~ Peu/hem/fo Fì'u/kem/po Lu Pak = PFLP

OMG = Fpi Eywa = FE

LOL = HeRangHang = HRH (Frommerian) :D

LMAO = idiomatic, could translate using nìtxan to get HeRangHang Nìtxan = HRHN

FTW = A Fl<iv>(<ei>)ä = AF

FML ~ Pxasik Tìreyur Oeyä (dodgy) = PTO (you could add a pak in for more anger to get PTOP).

HTH = Sìlpey Oe Tsnì Fì'u Srung Si (correction of Aysyal's) which would be a bit long but SOTFSS. I'd probably just do Fì'u Srung S<iv>i (FSS)

HAND = l<iv>u ngar(u) sìltsan-a trr (correction to Aysyal's, the verb goes first in these constructions) which would be LNST. I might use Ngaru Fpom L<iv>u (NFL) though instead.

"For Queen and Country"

Na'vi  society is a patriarchy, the clan leader, olo'eyktan, is a male.
The female counterpart is Tsahìk, the spiritual leader, but I don't think that's what you had in mind!
(even if brit monarchs, king or queen regardless, are also high priest / priestess of the 'church of england')

OK, so the above is fairly factual, what follows is total guesswork by a skawng who's cup is empty.

olo'eyktan is a male, and ends with -an, is this the suffix -an, showing that this is a male clan leader?
If this is correct then changing this to the female suffix would give olo'eykte (Queen)
The eastern sea clan seemed to have a female leader (but she might be tsahìk)
So, how about ...

Olo'eykte kllpxìltu si fpi.

Anyone with a cup more full than mine, can you show if / where this is wrong, any feed back welcome.

If the -an in eyktan were the male suffix, that would leave a root of 'eykt', would it not? It was my understanding that clusters can only occur syllable-initial. Possibly you might be able to get the meaning you suggest by making it olo'eyktane, but I'd feel very uneasy about using such a construction.

I think your probably right. Irayo.

My understanding of linguistics is way too limited for me to try dissecting it properly, it was just a guess by a skawng who's cup is empty.

Is the sentence otherwise correct?
Olo'eykte kllpxìltu si fpi.

kewnya txamew'itan

I'd go with Fpi Olo'eyktan Kllpxìltusì = FOS.

It's possible that olo'eyktan is actually a contraction of olo'eyktuan in which case, if talking about a queen not a king, olo'eyktue or olo'eykte would be ok.
