Because words so often relate to other words, I hope to organize most of the list we send to Frommer by broad topic/semantic categories.  It's also easier for us, to see what has gone on in a particular area when we think we need a word.  Here's the list I'm currently working with (though it may need some tweaking):

Edit (Mar 4): Old topic list obliterated.  The one from here is better.

  • The physical world
  • Kinship
  • Animals
  • The body
  • Food and drink
  • Clothing and grooming
  • The house
  • Agriculture and vegetation
  • Basic actions and technology
  • Motion
  • Possession
  • Spatial relations
  • Quantity
  • Time
  • Sense perception
  • Emotions and values
  • Cognition
  • Speech and language
  • Social and political relations
  • Warfare and hunting
  • Law
  • Religion and belief
  • Modern world
  • Miscellaneous function words
Some words will sensibly go into several categories.  Don't go nuts deciding the perfect one.

someone might add an advice that everyone should look in the newest dictionary
i guess its this http://mwf-data.clonk2c.ch/dvi/attach/NaviDictionary.pdf

although that should be clear i saw many requests for words that already exist

and of cause that everybody sould use the search function inside this forum before posting.

The Wiktionary (http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Appendix:Na%27vi) has a lot of plural and infix forms that might make it easier for folks only familiar with root words. Perhaps that should be pointed to as a reference as well?
