Here's some more, some suggested by a friend trying to learn a little Na`vi

crackle -  The crackle of the fire was delightful that night'. (B)
growl - 'The viper wolves growled at the thanator'. (B)
clatter - 'The bow fell to the groud with a clatter'. (B)
woosh - 'The arrow made a slight woosh as it left the bow'. (B)
sputter - 'The oil burned with a sputtering sound'. (B)
thump - 'The thump-thump-thump of the drums could be heard for miles'. (B)
crunch - 'The viperwolves could be heard crunching bones long into the night'. (B)
pop - 'The sudden pop from the fire took everyone by surprise'. (B)

I bet you can think of some sounds I missed!
