This might be a good place to start this thread.
It's the holidays, a lot of people are going to have a hard time going online.
This is more oriented on the future => members (and mostly the more active/known/mod/admin-ish members) can post if they're going to be gone for a while, so nobody should worry about it.
I'll be gone for at least 2 days, for example, because it's Christmas, and we'll go relative-hunting

IDK when I'll be back, but it won't be for a while. I'm leaving tomorrow morning for New York, and my parents, no matter the situation, insist on driving.  So, a week, I guess.  I'll be around in between then and now, but not for long

Thanks, but I don't know about that.  I have a flight to catch on the 2nd to somewhere else (besides NY), and if we get snowed in good, I'll miss it.  I've truly learned that, when it comes to the American Midwest, you cannot trust the weatherman with the weather: you just have to wait for it to come, and fight through it.
